                            <p>Bu çalışmanın amacı Boğaziçi Üniversitesi Kandilli Rasathanesi ve Deprem Araştırma Enstitüsü Afete&amp;nbsp;Hazırlık Eğitim Birimi tarafından verilen Temel Afet Bilinci Eğitim Programı’nı güncellemek ve güncel&amp;nbsp;programın etkililiğini deneysel araştırma deseni kullanarak belirlemektir. Örneklem 70 sekizinci sınıf&amp;nbsp;öğrencisinden oluşturulmuş; veriler Kavramsal Anlama Anketi-Deprem ve Program Değerlendirme Anketleri&amp;nbsp;kullanılarak toplanmış, bağımsız örneklem t-test, ANOVA ve ANCOVA kullanılarak çözümlenmiştir.&amp;nbsp;Programın orijinal ve güncellenmiş hallerine katılan öğrencilerin kavramsallaştırma düzeyleri arasında&amp;nbsp;istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir fark bulunmamış; ancak çalışmanın başında kontrol grubuna göre dezavantajlı&amp;nbsp;durumda olan deney grubu öğrencilerinin kavramsal anlama düzeylerinde istatiksel olarak anlamlı bir&amp;nbsp;gelişme saptanmıştır. Ayrıca öğrencilerin depremlerin oluşum sürecine, büyüklük, şiddet terimlerine ve&amp;nbsp;depremlerin önceden tahmin edilebilirliğine ilişkin konularda kavram yanılgıları yaşadıkları belirlenmiştir.</p></trans-abstract>
