Sözlükler dillerin hafızaları, kayıt defterleri ve söz depolarıdır. Dil etkileşiminden doğduğu düşünülen çok dilli sözlükler ve onların İslami dönem versiyonları olan manzum sözlükler bu kayıt geleneğinin devamı ve dili kolay öğrenme ve/veya öğretme amacının bir ürünüdür. Bugün elimizde olan kaynaklar ışığında; 17. yüzyılda başlayan bir dili Kürtçe olan manzum sözlük yazımı günümüze kadar devam etmiştir. İncelediğimiz eser Britanya Müzesi'ne (British Museum) kayıtlı elyazması manzum bir Türkçe-Kürtçe sözlüktür. Yazı stilinden, on dokuzuncu yüzyıla ait bir el yazısı olduğu anlaşılmaktadır. Bu manzume 10 sayfadan oluşmakta ve 142 beyitten meydana gelmektedir. Manzumede yaklaşık 353 sözcüğün, 9 söz öbeğinin (kelime grubu) ve 75 cümlenin Türkçesi ve bunların Kürtçe karşılıkları verilmiştir. Manzumenin büyük bir bölümünde önce Türkçe kelime, ardından Kürtçe anlamı verilmiştir. Bunun amacının Kürt öğrencilere Türkçe öğretmek olduğu anlaşılmaktadır. Diğer taraftan, eserin yazıldığı aruz kalıbı müellif ya da müstensih tarafından kaydedilmemiştir; ancak incelendiğinde remel bahrinin dörtlü tam kalıbı üzerine kurulduğu anlaşılmaktadır. Metnin kafiyesine gelince, bu sözlüğün de diğer tüm sözlükler gibi kafiyesi mesnevi tarzında olmasına rağmen, kafiyelerin büyük çoğunluğunda "e" (ە) sesi sona gelmiştir. Bu durum, daha çok şairin "budur" demek istediği bir cevap niteliğindedir. Sonuç olarak çalışmamız Kürtçe elyazması eserlerden birinin daha gün yüzüne çıkarılması ve bir dili Kürtçe olan manzum sözlük geleneğinin bir parçası olan bir eseri incelemesi bakımından dikkate değer niteliktedir ve sonraki çalışmalara ilham kaynağı olacaktır.
Dictionaries are the memories, record books, and word repositories of languages. Multilingual dictionaries, thought to have originated from language interaction, and their Islamic period versions, rhymed dictionaries, are a continuation of this tradition of record-keeping and a product of the aim to facilitate language learning and/or teaching. In light of the sources available to us today, the writing of rhymed dictionaries in the Kurdish language, which began in the 17th century, has continued to the present day. The work we examined is a handwritten Turkish-Kurdish dictionary registered at the British Museum. The writing style indicates that it is a 19th-century manuscript. This poem consists of 10 pages and 142 verses. The poem provides the Turkish equivalents of approximately 353 words, 9 phrases (word groups), and 75 sentences, along with their Kurdish equivalents. In most of the poem, the Turkish word is given first, followed by its Kurdish meaning. It is understood that the purpose of this is to teach Turkish to Kurdish students. On the other hand, the aruz meter in which the work was written was not recorded by the author or the copyist, but upon examination, it is based on the four-line complete meter of the remel bahr. As for the rhyme scheme of the text, although the rhyme scheme of this dictionary, like all other dictionaries, is in the mesnevi style, the vast majority of the rhymes end with the sound “e” (ە). This is more of a response that the poet wanted to say “this is it.” In conclusion, our work has brought another Kurdish manuscript to light and has contributed to the study of the Kurdish language.
