Substance addiction is one of the important problems threateningsociety today. Although it causes negative consequences inthe person's life, it makes the process more dangerous as the persondevelops tolerance and desires the substance more. Adolescenceis considered a risky period in substance addiction, wherepsychological, sociocultural and genetic factors play a role, andmany factors such as the biological, psychological and environmentalconditions of the adolescent determine the developmentprocesses of substance addiction. At this point, the family playsa role in the child's social and cognitive development and is seenas an important factor in the process of developing substanceaddiction. Lack of family functionality can lead to aggressionand anti-social behavior disorder, and as a result, delinquencyand substance use behaviors may occur in the adolescent. In thisstudy, the role of the family in adolescents' development of substanceaddiction will be discussed.
Madde bağımlılığı günümüzde toplumu tehdit eden önemlisorunlardan biridir. Kişinin yaşamında olumsuz sonuçlara yolaçmakla birlikte tolerans geliştirdiği için maddeyi daha çok istemesisüreci daha tehlikeli hale getirmektedir. Psikolojik, sosyokültürelve genetik etkenlerin rol oynadığı madde bağımlılığındaergenlik dönemi riskli bir dönem olarak değerlendirilmekte, ergeninbiyolojik, psikolojik ve çevresel koşulları gibi birçok faktörmadde bağımlılığı gelişim süreçlerini belirlemektedir. Bu noktadaaile, çocuğun sosyal ve bilişsel gelişiminde rol oynamakta vemadde bağımlılığı geliştirme sürecinde önemli bir faktör olarakgörülmektedir. Aile işlevselliğindeki eksiklik, saldırganlık ve anti-sosyal davranış bozukluğuna sebep olabilmekte, bunun sonucundaergende suça yönelme ve madde kullanımı davranışlarıgörülebilmektedir. Bu çalışmada ergenlerin madde bağımlılığıgeliştirmesinde ailenin rolü ele alınacaktır.
