Ethical Principles and Publication Policy

CBU Journal of Science is a peer reviewed international journal committed to upholding the highest standards of publication ethics. For providing the highest quality for our readers, we aim to state the Publication Ethics amd Malpractice Statement below. Submitted articles which are not appropriate according to our standards will be rejected from the review process. All papers submitted to CBUJOS are reviewed by a double-blind review process. In case of any need, paper is sent to 3rd and 4th reviewer to be checked. Also plagiarism, slicing, fabrication and falsification are checked by a plagiarism detecting software.

PLAGIARISM CONTROL

All articles submitted to Celal Bayar University Journal of Science are checked by using Turnitin plagiarism detection software, and Editor in Chief or the Assistant Editor in Chief decide to proceed the submission to the review or directly reject it.

 

PUBLICATION ETHICS

The articles submitted to the journal should not have been published in another language and should not be evaluated in another platform. All articles should be prepared in accordance with the general ethical rules specified by DOAJ.

 

Authors

Authors are responsible for their papers and must ensure that they have written original works. Authors must also ensure that their manuscript has not been submitted to any journal at same time or taken into consideration for review process. True and valid references should be used and cited at the end of the manuscript. Language editing should be performed by author or a native speaker of the language. During the submission, all authors should sign the Copyright Release Form on our website, and send it by-email to our editorial office. All authors should disclose financial or other conflict of interest that might influence the results or interpretation of their manuscript. When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his/her own published work, it is the author’s obligation to promptly notify the journal editor and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper. Articles should be submitted using online submission system.

Editors

All submitted papers are subject to double-blind peer-review process by reviewers that are experts in the area of the particular paper. Relevance, soundness, significance, originality, readability and language are the main factorsa taken into account during evaluation of the paper. Editor is the main responsible for the review process and also for the decision acceptance, revisions (minor or major) or rejection according to the review reports from reviewers. Also, it is not guaranteed that any revised submission will be accepted or published. Articles which are not suitable for publication and rejected by Editor will not be taken under further review process. When a conflict of interests arising, all the participants of reviewing process should inform the editorial board. The accepted papers are allocated in open access on the journal site; copyrights reserved.

 

Reviewers

The reviewers evaluate manuscripts for their intellectual content without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors. Blind manuscripts are sent to reviewers, so they are not informed ragarding the names, institutions and departments of authors. Reviews should be conducted objectively. Personal criticism of the author is inappropriate. Referees must express their views and opinions clearly with supporting arguments.

Peer review assists theEditor while making final editorial decisions and the author may assist the author in improving the paper. A reviewer should also call to the publisher's attention any substantial similarity or overlap between the manuscript under consideration and any other published paper of which they have personal knowledge.
