Flora of The Beynam Forest

Abstract

The Beynam forest, situated on the 40 th. km. of the Ankara-Bâlâ highway within the boundries of Ankara, in the south of the village of Beynam is a relic which covers the Kuyrukçu mountain and consists of Pinus nigra Arnold. subsp. pallasiana (Lamb.) Hohnboe. and Quercus pubescens Willd. The flora of Beynam forest are represented by 66 families, 241 genus and 419 spe- cies and Irano-Turanien elements are predominant. The most widely encountered fami­ lies are Leguminosae, Compositae. Labiatae and Rosace
