Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Öğrencilerinde Sirkadiyen Değişkenliğin İncelenmesi: Balıkesir Üniversitesi Örneği

Öz

Amaç: Sirkadiyen ritimler
karanlık, ısı ve ışık gibi çevresel özelliklere bağlı olarak organizmada
görülen fiziksel, mental ve davranışsal değişikliklerdir. Sirkadiyen ritimler  endojen ve eksojen faktörlere bağlı olarak
çalışırlar. Bu çalışma üniversite öğrencilerinde sirkadiyen özelliklerin
değişkenliğini test etmek amacıyla yapıldı.

Yöntem: Çalışmaya, Balıkesir
Üniversitesi Beden Eğitimi ve Spor Yüksekokulunda okuyan 18-25 yaş aralığında,
erkek (n=315) ve kadın (n=185) olmak üzere toplam 500  öğrenci katıldı. Katılımcıların sirkadiyen
özellikleri sübjektif olarak,  Horne ve Östberg’in
İnsan sirkadiyen ritminde sabahçıl ve akşamcıl tipleri belirleyen ölçeğin
Türkçe versiyonu kullanılarak değerlendirildi. Ölçek bir ay arayla iki kez
uygulandı. Katılımcıların kronotipleri, 
1. ve 2. Uygulamada verdikleri yanıtların frekans dağılımları
karşılaştırıldı ve güvenirliği test edildi. 

Bulgular: Ölçeğin güvenirlik
analizinde 1. Uygulamada Cronbach alfa değeri 0.697 iken, 2. Uygulamada
0.683’lik bir değere sahipti ve iyi düzeyde anlamlılık ifade etmekteydi.
Kronotip dağılımları karşılaştırıldığında, 1. Uygulamaya göre sabahçıl
özelliklerde %43 azalma, ara tip özelliklerinde %7 artış, akşamcıl özelliklerde
%18 artışa yönelik değişim  olduğu tespit
edildi. Katılımcılar yaş, cinsiyet, beden kütle indeksi (BKI) değerlerine göre
her iki uygulamada kronotip açısından anlamlı farklılık göstermemekteydi.
Öğrencilerin ölçek sorularına verdikleri yanıtların frekans dağılımları
incelendiğinde, S1, S4, S5, S7, S13, S17 ve S18 de 1. ve 2. uygulamada anlamlı
düzeyde farklılık olduğu tespit edildi (sırasıyla p= 0.001, p=0.03, p=0.002,
p=0.03, p=0.001 ve p=0.001). Anket yanıtlarına göre ise öğrencilerin
çoğunluğunun (%54.8) akşam saaterinde fiziksel aktivite yaptıklarını belirtirken,
fiziksel aktivitenin en verimli saat aralığının ise sabah (%56) olduğunu ifade
etmişlerdir.







Sonuç: Sonuç olarak öğrencilerin
sabah saatlerine yönelik verdiği cevaplar, çalışma saatleri konusundaki
tercihleri ve en iyi hissettikleri zaman dilimini bulma konusundaki yanıtları
değişkenlik göstermekteydi.
