                                                                                                                        <abstract><p>The subject of religion in Turkish cinema has been handled with different dimensions from the past to the present and has been one of the most important main materials of our cinema in every period. The 2006 film Takva stands at a different point in terms of dealing with religion in a realistic way in terms of economy and politics. Movies are visual products in terms of their narrative structure, and the ideological messages they want to convey are conveyed largely through images. This study consists of two parts. In the first part of the study, the analysis of the movie Takva according to Greimas&#039; Acting Example was made. In this context, subject-object opposition on the will axis, sender-receiver opposition on the communication axis, and auxiliary-blocker opposition on the power axis are put forward. It has been tried to explain how the meaning is constructed by revealing the syntactic and serial elements in the film.In the second part of the study, an ideological analysis was made in the context of Karl Marx&#039;s political economy and Max Weber&#039;s sociology of religion. It has been tried to explain the ideologies underlying the syntactic and serial elements of the film.</p></abstract>
