Abstract

Bir ülkenin ekonomik
performansının en önemli göstergeleri Gayri Safi Yurtiçi Hâsılası (GSYH), büyüme
oranı ve ticaret hacmidir. Lojistiğin bu göstergelere önemli katkısı bulunmaktadır.
Bu nedenle, ülkenin, özellikle diğer bölge ve dünya ülkelerine kıyasla,
uluslararası pozisyonu ve hangi alanlarda iyileştirmeler yapılması gerektiği
konusunda fikir edinmek amacıyla lojistik performansını ölçmek önem
taşımaktadır. Dünya Bankasının iki yılda bir yayınladığı Lojistik Performans
Endeksi (LPI), ülkeler arasında kıyaslama yapabilmek için ilk başvurulan kaynak
durumundadır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, Lojistik Performans Endeksi (LPI) verilerini
kullanarak Türkiye’nin uluslararası ticaret kapasitesini etkileyen sorun
noktalarının ne olduğunu ve hangi alanların geliştirilmesi gerektiğini
özellikle de demiryolunun lojistik performansa etkisini incelemektir.
