<p>In this article, one of the leading Jewish thinkers of the Middle Ages, Moses Maimonides’ views on the creation of the world were examined. Maimonides&#039; views on the subject have been one of the most discussed issues since his own time. The main reason for this is that in his book Dalālat al-ḥāʾirīn, in which he explains his views on creation, on the one hand he states that he believes in creation from nothing, on the other hand, the philosophy used to show the conceivable of the Jewish religious law does not accept creation out of nothing. Therefore, although this situation seems to continue the Jewish tradition by exoterically accepting creation from nothing in his views on creation, it actually paved the way for interpretations that he esoterically accepted the Aristotelian belief in the eternal world or the Platonist creation from an eternal first substance. In the study, the statements of Maimonides about the creation of the world in the mentioned work were evaluated and it was concluded that he did not have an esoteric attitude about the subject and believed in creation from nothing. This research aims to contribute to the field of the history of religions by revealing Maimonides’ views on creation, which is not studied specifically in our country.</p></trans-abstract>
