BİTKİ PATOJENİ VİRÜSLERİN BİTKİ PARAZİTİ NEMATODLARLA TAŞINMASI

Year 2008, Volume: 25 Issue: 2, 1 - 12, 01.06.2008

Abstract

TRANSMISSION OF PLANT PATHOGENIC VIRUSES BY PLANT PARASITIC NEMATODES

Year 2008, Volume: 25 Issue: 2, 1 - 12, 01.06.2008

Abstract

Nematodes are one of the most importent pests causing yield losses to agricultural crops. Nematodes generally cause direct damage by feeding on plant roots, and indirectly by transmitting viruses. These nematodes belong to the families Longidoridae and Trichodoridae, and transmit viruses belonging, respectively, to the genera Nepovirus and Tobravirus. Tobraviruses transmission is carried out by nematodes belonging to the genera Trichodorus and Paratrichodorus, Nepoviruses are transmitted longidorid nematodes of the genera Longidorus or Xiphinema.
