Sustainability and Human: An Evaluate within the Scope of Examples

Year 2023, Volume: 6 Issue: 11, 4 - 14, 30.06.2023

Abstract

Human beings ignore the environment, human and all living creatures for the sake of their personal interests and cause many irreversible damages for the world. In order to prevent environmental destruction that has reached gigantic dimensions, governments, national and international organizations and nongovernmental organizations, especially developed countries, strive to develop policies to protect nature and to make them sustainable. However, reasons such as the efforts of business owners or managers to avoid environmental protective measures with the greed for profit, excessive and luxurious consumption that is constantly promoted, unconsciousness of consumers, waste and poverty, significantly prevent “sustainability” efforts. Thus, the aim of protecting and caring the human and human generation is become impossible by human. In this study, it has been tried to make an evaluation of the attitudes and behaviours of people on sustainability through two examples - the shipbreaking example on the manufacturer’s side, and the solitaire diamond ring example on the consumer’s side.

SÜRDÜRÜLEBİLİRLİK VE İNSAN: ÖRNEKLER ÇERÇEVESİNDE BİR DEĞERLENDİRME

Year 2023, Volume: 6 Issue: 11, 4 - 14, 30.06.2023
