The phenomenon of deindustrialization entered the world agenda with the globalization and liberalization trend that emerged in the 1980s. The Turkish economy was also included in the globalization trend with the January 24 Decisions in 1980. With the liberalization of international goods and capital movements, the domestic industry declined. In this study, the deindustrialization process is associated with income distribution. The aim of the study is to reveal the effects of the deindustrialization process on income distribution. The post-2002 period is analyzed in the study. The share of labor payments in GDP value added is taken as a measure of income distribution. The independent variables of the study are the deindustrialization indicator and inflation. In the study, the stationarity levels of the variables are determined by using conventional and structural break unit root tests. In order to determine the relationship between the variables, ARDL model was constructed, and a bounds test was applied. According to the results obtained from the study, the increase in the deindustrialization trend has a disorting effect on income distribution. In addition, the effect of inflation, which is used as a control variable, on income distribution is also found to be negative.

Sanayisizleşme olgusu, 1980’li yıllarda ortaya çıkan küreselleşme ve liberalleşme eğilimi ile birlikte dünyanın gündemine girmiştir. Türkiye ekonomisi de 1980 yılında 24 Ocak Kararları ile küreselleşme eğilimine dâhil olmuştur. Uluslararası mal ve sermaye hareketlerinin serbest hale getirilmesi ile birlikte yerli sanayide gerilemeler görülmüştür. Bu çalışmada sanayisizleşme süreci gelir dağılımı ile ilişkilendirilmiştir. Çalışmanın amacı, sanayisizleşme sürecinin gelir dağılımı üzerindeki etkilerini ortaya koymaktır. Çalışmada 2002 sonrası dönem analiz edilmiştir. Gelir dağılımı ölçüsü olarak işgücü ödemelerinin GSYH katma değeri içindeki payı ele alınmıştır. Çalışmanın bağımsız değişkenleri, bu çalışma için üretilen sanayisizleşme göstergesi ve enflasyon olarak belirlenmiştir. Çalışmada geleneksel ve yapısal kırılmalı birim kök testleri kullanılarak değişkenlerin durağanlık mertebeleri tespit edilmiştir. Değişkenler arasındaki ilişkinin belirlenmesi için ise ARDL modeli kurularak sınır testi uygulanmıştır. Çalışmadan elde edilen sonuçlara göre sanayisizleşme eğilimindeki artış, gelir dağılımı üzerinde bozucu etki meydana getirmektedir. Ayrıca kontrol değişkeni olarak kullanılan enflasyonun da gelir dağılımı üzerindeki etkisi olumsuz bulunmuştur.
