LİDERLİK TARZI İLE MESLEKİ BAĞLILIK ARASINDAKİ İLİŞKİNİN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to examine the relationship between behavior style of leader and occupational commitment. With the purpose, the study was concluded on trainees who are considered as the most appropriate sample group that leadership style has direct effect on occupational commitment. Data was collected by survey from 93 certified public accountants’ (CPA) trainees in Black Sea Region. MLQ Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire Form 5X (Bass, 1985, Avolio and Bass, 1999) and Career Commitment Scale (Blau, 1985) were used during collecting data. Data were evaluated by factor, reliability, correlation and regression analyzes. According to the results it was revealed that level of trainees’ occupational commitment was moderate and their commitments’ level was changed according to their education level and duration of training. In addition, it was determined that participants’ perception of transformational leadership behavior was high, while the perception of transactional leadership behavior was low. Both types of leadership behavior had significant relationship with occupational commitment

LİDERLİK TARZI İLE MESLEKİ BAĞLILIK ARASINDAKİ İLİŞKİNİN İNCELENMESİ

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı liderlerin davranış biçiminin mesleki bağlılık ile ilişkisini incelemektir. Bu amaçla çalışma, liderlik tarzının mesleki bağlılığa doğrudan etki ettiği en uygun örneklem gruplarından biri olduğu düşünülen stajyerler üzerinde yapılmıştır. Çalışma kapsamında Karadeniz Bölgesindeki 93 serbest muhasebeci mali müşavir (SMMM) stajyerinden anket yöntemi ile veri toplanmıştır. Veri toplama aşamasında “Çok Faktörlü Liderlik Anketi-MLQ Form 5X” (Bass,1985,Avolio ve Bass,1999) ve Kariyer Bağlığı Ölçeklerinden (Blau,1985) yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma kapsamında elde edilen veriler faktör, güvenilirlik, korelasyon ve regresyon analizlerine tabi tutulmuştur. Elde edilen sonuçlara göre stajyerlerin mesleki bağlılıkları orta düzeyde olup, bağlılık düzeyleri eğitim seviyelerine ve stajda geçirdikleri süreye göre değişmektedir. Ayrıca dönüşümcü liderlik tarzının mesleki bağlılık üzerinde pozitif yönde etkili olduğu konusundaki algı düzeylerinin yüksek olduğu, etkileşimci liderlik davranışına ilişkin söz konusu algı düzeylerinin ise daha düşük düzeyde olduğu anlaşılmıştır. Liderlik davranışının her iki türünün de mesleki bağlılıkla ilişkisi anlamlıdır
