                                                                                                <abstract><p>Mercimek (Lens culinaris Medik.) (Fabaceae), yüksek protein içeriği, azot fiksasyonu yeteneği ve ekim nöbetine uygunluğu nedeniyle Güneydoğu Anadolu Bölgesi tarımı açısından önemli bir yemeklik tane baklagil bitkisidir. Bu çalışma, bölgede mercimek yetiştirilen alanlarda yaygın ve yoğun olarak bulunan yaprakbiti türlerinin popülasyon değişimini ve bitki fenolojisine bağlı biyoekolojik özelliklerini birlikte değerlendirmek amacıyla yürütülmüştür. Arazi çalışmaları 2021 ve 2022 üretim sezonlarında Diyarbakır ve Mardin illerinde, pestisit uygulanan ve uygulanmayan mercimek tarlalarında gerçekleştirilmiştir. Yaprakbiti popülasyon takibi kapsamında haftalık yapılan sayımlarda, her parselde tesadüfi olarak seçilen bitkiler üzerindeki yaprakbiti bireyleri sayılmış, ayrıca kanatlı formların izlenmesi amacıyla sarı su tuzakları kullanılmıştır. Biyoekolojik gözlemler sırasında yaprakbiti yoğunluğunun mercimek bitkisinin fenolojik dönemlerine ve bitki organlarına göre dağılımı kayıt altına alınmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular, baskın yaprakbiti türlerinin popülasyon yoğunluğunun her iki yılda da özellikle çiçeklenme döneminde belirgin şekilde arttığını ve bireylerin ağırlıklı olarak sürgün ve gövde kısımlarında yoğunlaştığını ortaya koymuştur. Popülasyonun en yüksek seviyeye ulaştığı dönemlerin bitkinin fenolojik olarak hassas olduğu evrelerle çakışması, yaprakbiti gelişiminin bitki fenolojisi ile yakından ilişkili olduğunu göstermiştir.</p></abstract>

                            <p>Lentil (Lens culinaris Medik.) (Fabaceae) is an important grain legume for the agriculture of the Southeastern Anatolia Region due to its high protein content, nitrogen-fixing ability, and suitability for crop rotation systems. This study was conducted to evaluate the population dynamics of aphid species that are widespread and abundant in lentil-growing areas of the region, together with their bio-ecological characteristics in relation to plant phenology. Field surveys were carried out during the 2021 and 2022 growing seasons in lentil fields with and without pesticide applications in Diyarbakır and Mardin provinces. Aphid population monitoring was performed through weekly counts of aphid individuals on randomly selected plants in each plot, and yellow water traps were used to monitor winged forms. During bio-ecological observations, the distribution of aphid infestations according to lentil phenological stages and plant organs was recorded. The results revealed that the population density of dominant aphid species increased markedly in both years, particularly during the flowering period, with individuals mainly concentrated on shoots and stems. The coincidence of peak population levels with phenologically sensitive stages of the crop indicates that aphid development is closely associated with lentil plant phenology.</p></trans-abstract>
