                                                                                                <abstract><p>Amaç: Çalışmanınamacı hemşirelerin sosyal medya kullanımı ve sosyal medya paylaşımlarınıbelirleyerek bu konuda farkındalık oluşturmaktır. Gereç veYöntemler:Araştırma; bir üniversite hastanesinde çalışmaya katılmayı gönüllü olarak kabuleden 101 hemşire ile Aralık 2017- Şubat 2018 tarihleri arasındagerçekleştirilmiştir. Araştırma verileri hemşirelerin yaş, cinsiyet, eğitimdüzeyi ve medeni durum gibi sosyodemografik özelliklerinin yanı sıra çalışmasüreleri, çalıştıkları birim, sosyal medya kullanım sıklığı, amacı, yapılanpaylaşımların içeriğine yönelik 13 sorudan oluşan Kişisel Bilgi Formukullanılarak toplanmıştır. Bulgular: Çalışmayakatılan hemşirelerin %26,5’inin Whatsapp, %23,1’inin Facebook, %21’inin iseInstagram kullandığı bulunmuştur. Hemşirelerin %46,5’inin sosyal medyaplatformlarında günde bir saatten az, %30,7’sinin günde 1-2 saat zamangeçirdiği belirlenmiştir. Sosyal medya kullanım amaçları incelendiğinde ise;hemşirelerin %28,8’inin gündemi takip etmek, %19,4’ünün video, fotoğraf ve yazıpaylaşmak, %16,4’ünün uzman paylaşımlarını takip etmek için kullandıklarıtespit edilmiştir. Hemşirelerin %37,7’sinin paylaşım içeriğinin kişisel ilgialanlarından, %27,7’sinin kişisel bilgilerden, %17,6’sının yorumlardan oluştuğubelirlenmiştir. Sonuç: Araştırmadahemşirelerin en fazla Whatsapp kullandıkları, sosyal medya platformlarındaçoğunlukla günde 1 saatten daha az zaman geçirdikleri, kişisel hobileri ve ilgialanları ile ilgili paylaşımda bulundukları ve sosyal medyayı gündemi takipetmek amaçlı kullandıkları tespit edilmiştir. Sonuçlar doğrultusunda hemşirelikeğitimi sürecine sosyal medyanın uygun kullanımının dahil edilmesi vestandartlaştırılmış sosyal medya kullanım rehberleri oluşturulmasıönerilmektedir.</p></abstract>

                            <p>Aim: The aim of thestudy is to determine the social media usage and social media sharing of nursesand to raise awareness on this issue. Material and Methods: The study was conducted between December 2017 and February 2018 in auniversity hospital with 101 nurses who voluntarily agreed to participate. Thedata of the study were collected by using the Personal Information Form whichconsisted of 13 questions about the duration of the study, the unit theyworked, the frequency of social media usage, the purpose and the content of theshares made, as well as the sociodemographic characteristics of the nurses suchas age, gender, educational level and marital status.Results: It was found that 26.5% ofthe nurses used Whatsapp, 23.1% of them used Facebook and 21% of them usedInstagram. It was determined that 46.5% of the nurses spend less than one houra day on social media platforms and 30.7% spend 1-2 hours a day. When thepurposes of social media usage are examined; It was determined that 28.8% ofthe nurses used to follow the agenda, 19.4% used to share videos, photos andtexts, and 16.4% used to follow the expert shares. It has been determined that37.7% of the nurses share personal interests, 27.7% are personal informationand 17.6% are comments.Conclusion: In the study, it was found that nurses used Whatsapp most, spent lessthan 1 hour a day on social media platforms, shared their personal hobbies and interests and used socialmedia to follow the agenda. In line with the results, it is recommended toinclude appropriate use of social media in the nursing education process and tocreate standardized social media usage guidelines.</p></trans-abstract>
