BİR ENDÜSTRİYEL PAZAR ORTAMI OLARAK FİLM FESTİVALLERİ BAŞVURU SİTELERİ

Abstract

Film festivallerinin sayıca artışına paralel olarak ağ tabanlı uygulamaların gelişmesi, festivallerin site üzerinden duyurulmasını ve başvuru almasını temin eden platformların yaygınlaşmasını da beraberinde getirmiştir. Bu kapsamda senaryo yazan, uzun-kısa metraj, deneysel ve belgesel film yapan sinemacılar için filmlerini festivallerin çeşitli programlarına dahil etmelerine olanak tanıyan festival başvuru platformlarının kullanımı da artmaya başlamıştır. Nihayetinde sinemacılar için küresel çapta binlerce film festivaline erişim imkânı sağlanmıştır. Bunun yanı sıra, izleyicilerine özgün bir film seçkisi sunmayı arzu eden festivallerin küratörleri, bahsi geçen bu siteler üzerinden dünyanın pek çok noktasından üretilmiş filmleri festivallerine alıp değerlendirebilmektedirler. Böylelikle film alışverişine aracı olan siteler hem sinemacılar hem de film festivalleri bakımından film endüstrisinin işlevsel bir pazar ortamı haline gelmiştir. Türkiye’den de çok sayıda festivalin dâhil olduğu platformları konu edinen bu çalışmada film festivalleri başvuru sitelerini endüstriyel bir pazar ortamı olarak analiz etmek amaçlanmıştır. Bunun için amaçsal örneklem yoluyla seçilen aktif festival başvuru sitelerinin yapısal özellikleri, finansal sistemi, film yapımcısı ve film festivali için sağladığı pazarlama olanakları endüstriyel pazarlama bağlamında betimsel analiz yoluyla incelenmiştir.
