Maxillary Central Incisors with Type V Canal Morphology: Case Report

Year 2017, Volume: 44 Issue: 2 - Volume: 44 Issue: 2, 109 - 114, 01.05.2017

Abstract

The success of endodontic treatment depends on well-defined knowledge of root canal anatomy and root canal disinfection, shape and filling for the all root canals. Maxillary central incisors are well known to have usually a single root with a single root canal. However maxillary central incisors have been reported having 1, 2, 3 and even 4 root canals. Therefore, it’s important that clinicians consider the existence of anatomical variations of root canal systems. In this case report, two maxillary central incisors with one root, two canals shown Type V canal morphology has been described. Clinicians have to perform careful clinical and radiologic investigation in case of anatomical variation probability.

Tip V kanal morfolojisi gösteren maksiller santral keser dişlerin endodontik tedavisi: vaka raporu

Year 2017, Volume: 44 Issue: 2 - Volume: 44 Issue: 2, 109 - 114, 01.05.2017
