Abstract
Mehmet Akif is one of the distinguished personalities who devoted his existence and life to his state and nation. At a time when political, social and cultural change and transformation was felt most deeply by everyone, from seven to seventy, in material and spiritual terms, he tried to guide the society with his speeches, writings and actions in order to guide the society. From the pulpit of the parliament to the pulpit of the mosque, from verse stories to translations, articles and essays, he spoke to the public and eventually became the voice of the people. One of the means Mehmet Akif used to reach the public was the journal, which started its publication life in 1908 with the name Sırâtımüstakîm and continued under the name of Sebîlürreşâd from the 184th issue. Akif; He was the editor-in-chief of this magazine, which was started to be published by Eşref Edip Fergan and Ebulula Mardin, and made a great contribution to the War of Independence, especially with his articles aimed at giving morale and motivation to the Anatolian people. On the other hand, he did not content himself with the articles about the National Struggle, but also wrote articles describing the qualities of the civilization he dreamed of and the human model he wanted to see. Therefore, this magazine has gained the identity of a work that bears traces of Mehmet Akif's world of ideas, piece by piece, with 641 issues, which were published until 1925, when it was closed. In this research, Mehmet Akif's articles titled "Hasbihâl", "Old Remembrance" and "Old Remembrances" were examined and it was tried to determine the thoughts of this great thinker on education and language education.
