                                                                                                                        <abstract><p>Günümüzde genellikle geniş havuzlarda ve yarı denetimli yöntemlerle yetiştiriciliği yaygın olan tilapianın artık gelişen pazar istekleri doğrultusunda yoğun bir biçimde kafes sistemerinde yetiştirildiğini görmekteyiz. Farklı kafes modelleri ile havuzlarda göl ve göletlerde sulama rezervuarlarında ve akarsularda yetiştiriciliği gündem kazanmaktadır. Özellikle tilapia yetiştiriciliğine iklimi bir yada bir kaç mevsim süresince uygun olan bölgelerde, ikinci ürün olarak yada hızlı büyütmek amacıyla, yada çok kısa sürede pazara ürün sunmak için kafes sistemlerinin, tilapiaların mevcut bir çok sorununa çözüm konusunda aternatifler üretebileceği kanısı yaygınlaşmaktadır</p></abstract>
