YAŞLILARDA ÇOKLU İLAÇ KULLANIMI VE DÜŞMELER

Abstract

Düşme yaşlılarda sık
görülür ve yaralanmalara neden olur. Dünya genelinde düşme yaşam beklentisinin
ve yaşlı nüfusun artışı nedeni ile önemli bir halk sağlığı problemidir.
Medikal, nöropsikolojik, sensörimotor ve sosyodemografik birçok faktör düşme
ile ilişkilidir. Bu faktörlerin çoğu modifiye edilebilir özelliktedir. Yaşlanma
ile birlikte hastalık sıklığının artışı çoklu ilaç kullanımına neden
olmaktadır. Çoklu ilaç kullanımı tedavi edici özellikte olsa da düşme gibi
birçok probleme neden olmaktadır. Psikotropik ilaçlar (örn: antidepresanlar,
benzodiazepinler, antipsikotikler), antihipertansif ve vazodilatatör ilaçlar
yaşlılarda düşme riskini artıran ilaçların başında gelmektedir.
