Acute Toxicity Effect of α-- cypermethrin on Juvenile Common Carp (Cyprinus carpio Linnaeus, 1758)

Abstract

α-cypermethrin is a widely used pesticide in the Thrace region. This pesticide is highly toxic to the aquatic
ecosystem. In this study, acute toxicity (LC50) of a pesticide containing α-cypermethrin was investigated. The
96 hour lethal concentration was calculated on the juvenile common carp fish (Cyprinus carpio Linnaeus,
1758). Two replicate Lethal Dose experiments were performed in semistatic laboratory conditions (water
temperature 20 ± 1 ° C, pH 8.31). Experimental results were evaluated by probit analysis method. The 96-h
LC50 values of juvenile carps were calculated as 1.034 (0.136-12.181) μg L
-1
.

Abstract

α-cypermetrin Trakya bölgesinde
yaygın kullanılan bir tarım ilacıdır. Bu pestisid sucul ekosistem için oldukça
toksitir. Bu araştırmada α-cypermetrin içeren bir pestisitin (Kortac  100 EC) akut toksitesi (LC50)
incelenmiştir. Yavru Sazan balığı(
Cyprinus carpio LINNAEUS, 1758)  üzerinde 96
saatlil lethal doz hesaplanmıştır. 
2  tekrarlı yapılan Lethal
Doz  deneyleri semistatik deney
koşularında (su sıcaklığı 20 ± 1
°C pH 8.31) gerçekleştirilmiştir. Deneyler buyunca
α-cypermetrin için elde edilen deney sonuçları probit analiz yöntemiyle
değerlendirilmiştir. Yavru sazanların 96-saat LC50 değerleri
1.034(0,136-12,181) μg/l olarak hesaplanmıştır.
