Harmonic Analysis and Solution Suggestions for a Railway System in Istanbul

Abstract

The expansion of railway transport due to demand growth has accelerated over time due to the numerous advantages of both passenger and cargo. Resolve traffic congestion, can be carried in passenger and cargo capacity, comfort, speed and confidence with many advantages such as the provision of rail transport systems, has acquired an important place in Turkey. In addition to these advantages, there are some undesirable negative effects on the electric network of the railed systems, which are increasing in importance and spread every passing day. In this work, the most important problems encountered in rail systems are concentrated on harmonics, which are quality problems. In the direction of realistic system data, a model is created in computer environment and harmonic analysis is performed. The model is built on the ETAP program and it is proved that the model works with high accuracy by comparing the results of the load flow and harmonic analysis with the actual measurement results. Subsequently, proposals have been made for solving the harmonic problem on the system. These suggestions have been presented in the simulation environment with the solutions that have been tried and proposed and the findings on which harmonic problem has been eliminated.

İstanbul’da Bir Raylı Sistem Tesisi’ne Ait Harmonik Analizi ve Çözüm Önerileri

Abstract

Demiryolu taşımacılığının talep artışı nedeniyle yayılımı, hem yolcu hem de yük naklindeki sayısız avantajından dolayı zamanla ivmelenmiştir. Trafik sıkışıklığını gidermesi, yüksek kapasitede yolcu ve yük taşınabilmesi, konfor, yüksek hız ve güven sağlanması gibi birçok avantajı bulunan raylı ulaşım sistemleri, Türkiye'de de önemli bir yer edinmiştir. Bu avantajlarının yanında her geçen gün önemi ve yayılımı giderek artan raylı sistemlerin elektrik şebekesi üzerine istenmeyen bir takım olumsuz etkileri de bulunmaktadır. Bu çalışmada, raylı sistemlerde karşılaşılan en önemli güç kalitesi problemlerinden olan harmonikler üzerine yoğunlaşılmıştır. Gerçek raylı sistem verileri doğrultusunda, bilgisayar ortamında model oluşturulmuş ve bu modelin harmonik analizi gerçekleştirilmiştir. Model ETAP programı üzerinde oluşturulmuş ve yük akışı ile harmonik analizleri sonuçları gerçek ölçüm sonuçları ile karşılaştırılarak modelin yüksek doğrulukla çalıştığı ispatlanmıştır. Sonrasında sistem üzerindeki harmonik probleminin çözümüne yönelik öneriler getirilmiş, bu öneriler simülasyon ortamında denenmiş ve önerilen çözümler ile harmonik sorunun hangi oranda giderildiği elde edilen bulgular ile sunulmuştur.
