                                                                                                <abstract><p>The aim of this study was to determine the relationship between the personality traits and burnout levels of pre-service science teachers. For this purpose, the research was conducted using the survey model. The participants, determined through purposive sampling, consisted of 186 pre-service science teachers. The data were analyzed using the SPSS 25 statistical software package. The results indicated that a significant relationship was found between certain personality traits and the sub-dimensions of burnout. Specifically, there was a statistically significant relationship between the exhaustion sub-dimension and agreeableness, conscientiousness, and neuroticism, between the Cynicism sub-dimension and conscientiousness and neuroticism, and between the Efficacy sub-dimension and extraversion, conscientiousness, neuroticism, and openness to experience. Based on the results of this study, it is recommended that further research be conducted with pre-service teachers from different subject areas.</p></abstract>

                            <p>Bu araştırmanın amacı fen bilimleri öğretmen adaylarının kişilik özellikleri ile tükenmişlik düzeyleri arasındaki ilişkinin belirlenmesidir. Bu amaç doğrultusunda araştırma ilişkisel tarama modelinde yürütülmüştür. Amaçlı örnekleme yöntemi ile belirlenen çalışma grubunda 186 fen bilgisi öğretmen adayı yer almaktadır. Verilerin analiz edilmesinde SPSS 25 paket programı kullanılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularına göre fen bilgisi öğretmen adaylarının tükenmişlik alt boyutlarından tükenme ile yumuşak başlılık, öz denetimlilik ve nörotiklik özellikleri arasında; duyarsızlaşma alt boyutu ile öz denetimlilik ve nörotiklik arasında; yetkinlik alt boyutu ile dışa dönüklük, öz denetimlilik, nörotiklik ve deneyime açıklık arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu belirlenmiştir. Çalışmanın sonuçları doğrultusunda yeni araştırmalarla farklı alanlarda öğrenim görmekte olan öğretmen adaylarıyla farklı alanlarda çalışmaların yapılması önerilmektedir.</p></trans-abstract>
