The aim of this study was to investigate the relationship between emotional intelligence and happiness levels of Istanbul Youth and Sports Management and people working as sports managers in Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. Descriptive and relational scanning method were used in the research. The universe of the study consisted of 85 sports managers and 40 sports managers who participated voluntarily. It was determined that the sample group was homogeneous and represented the population of the research. To collect the data, Personal Information Form, Schutte Self Report Emotional Intelligence Test (SSREIT- 33-Tr) and Oxford Happiness Questionnasire Short Form (OHQ-SF) were used. As a result of the Pearson Correlation Analysis, which was applied to measure the relationship between emotional intelligence levels and happiness levels, a significant positive correlation was found between emotional intelligence scale scores and happiness scale scores of sport managers (r = .404; p <.05). According to this result, it can be said that sports managers with a high level of emotional intelligence were more happy and optimistic towards life.
