                            <p>Following the COVID-19 crisis, disruptions in supply chains and escalating political tensions have driven up costs, thereby intensifying inflationary pressures. Given that markets predominantly operate under conditions of imperfect competition, producers and retailers, to avoid negative consumer reactions, have increasingly adopted a strategy of maintaining nominal prices while reducing product quantities. This practice, commonly referred to as “shrinkflation,” has provoked widespread criticism and led to a surge in consumer complaints in many countries. Consequently, legal measures aimed at addressing the issue have entered public debate. This study first examines the phenomenon of shrinkflation within the theoretical frameworks of economics and business administration. It then reviews existing legislation and relevant legal decisions. In conclusion, the effectiveness of current regulations and their implementation in practice are critically assessed, followed by suggestions for potential improvements.</p></trans-abstract>
                                                                                                                                    <abstract><p>Kovid-19 krizi sonrasında tedarik zincirlerinde yaşanan aksaklıklar ve artan siyasi gerilimler, maliyet artışlarını beraberinde getirerek enflasyonist baskıları artırmıştır. Piyasaların çoğunlukla aksak rekabet koşullarında işlemesi nedeniyle üreticiler ve perakendeciler tüketici tepkilerinden kaçınmak amacıyla fiyatları artırmak yerine; fiyatı sabit tutarak ürün miktarını azaltma politikaları benimsemektedirler. “Shrinkflasyon” olarak adlandırılan ve eleştirileri beraberinde getiren bu süreç, birçok ülkede tüketici şikayetlerini artırmış; bu doğrultuda sorunun çözümüne yönelik hukuki düzenlemeler tartışılmaya başlanmıştır. Bu çalışmada, shrinkflasyon olgusu önce iktisat ve işletme bilimlerinin teorik çerçevesinde ele alınmakta; ardından mevcut mevzuat incelenerek konuya ilişkin kararlar incelenmektedir. Sonuç bölümünde mevcut düzenlemelerin ve işleyişin uygulamadaki etkinliği tartışılarak iyileştirme önerilerine yer verilmektedir.</p></abstract>
