Öğretmen Adayları İçin Bir Kariyer Uyumluluk Modeli

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı, öğretmen adaylarının kariyer uyumluluklarını,
kariyer arzusu ve kariyer uyum yetenekleri çerçevesinde ele alan bir yapısal
eşitlik modeli önerip ve bu modeli test etmektir. Bu çalışma öğretmen
adaylarının kariyer uyumlulukları üzerinde kariyer arzusunun ve kariyer uyum
yeteneklerinin yordama güçlerinin araştırıldığı nedensel karşılaştırmalı bir
çalışmadır. Araştırma grubu, İç Anadolu’da bir kamu üniversitesinin Eğitim
Fakültesinde öğrenim gören toplam 219 öğretmen adayından oluşmaktadır.
Çalışmada veriler Kariyer Uyumluluğu Ölçeği, Kariyer Arzusu ve Kariyer Uyum
Yetenekleri Ölçeği ile toplanmıştır. Çalışmada verilerin analizinde, yapısal
eşitlik modellemesi tekniğinden yararlanılmıştır. Araştırma
sonucunda elde edilen modele göre, kariyer uyumluluğunu en iyi yordayan
değişken kariyer arzusudur (t = 6.85; p<0.01). Buna göre kariyer arzusundaki
bir birimlik artış kariyer uyumluluğunu 0.62 artırmaktadır. Kariyer
uyumluluğunu yordayan ikinci değişken ise kariyer uyum yetenekleridir (t = 4.00;
p<0.01). Buna göre uyum yeteneklerini kullanmadaki bir birimlik artış
kariyer uyumluluğunu 0.34 artırmaktadır. Ayrıca kariyer arzusu ile kariyer uyum
yeteneklerini de yordamaktadır (t = 6.37; p<0.01). Buna göre kariyer
arzusundaki bir birimlik artış kariyer uyum yeteneklerini kullanmayı 0.54
artırmaktadır. Kariyer arzusu ile kariyer uyumu arasındaki ilişkide kariyer
uyum yeteneklerinin aracılık etkisinin 0.21 olduğu bulunmuştur. Kariyer
arzusunun toplam etki büyüklüğünün ise 0.83 olduğu bulunmuştur. Öğretmen
adaylarının kariyer uyumlulukları için kariyer arzusuna sahip olmalarının
yanında kariyer uyum yeteneklerini de kullanmalarının önemli olduğu sonucuna
varılmıştır.
