The aim of the journal is to increase the quality of research in social sciences, develop methods and applications in these fields and contribute to the strengthening of communication among researchers in theory and practice.

In "Erzincan University Journal of Graduate School of Social Sciences" are published works in the following fields of study: Literature, Linguistics, Business, Economics, Finance, History, Geography, Sociology, Theology, Public Administration, Political Science, International Relations, Social Work, Psychology, Management Sciences, Tourism and In the fields of science within the scope of art as


Research Articles: articles that reflect an original research with its findings and results,

Review Articles: Articles that scan a sufficient number of scientific articles, make an evaluation that summarizes the subject at the current level of knowledge, compare the findings and criticize them.

Translated Articles: Very important scientific articles that can only be published in a university journal, articles translated from one language to another are accepted as translated articles.

Book Criticism/Review: These are the articles about the book that are criticized, examined or promoted.

Articles submitted to the journal must not have been published elsewhere or sent for publication nor under review.

If studies such as experiments/surveys/interviews/inquiries have been made on living things in the articles published in our journal, an Ethics Committee Report is requested as of 2020 regarding these studies.



Note: Book Criticism/Review articles are published with the decision of the relevant field editor, without being included in the review process.

ERZINCAN UNIVERSITY JOURNAL OF GRADUATE SCHOOL OF SOCIAL SCIENCES WRITING RULES
1. Articles should be prepared in "Office Word" program in A4 size.
2. The length of the articles should be in journal format and should not exceed 20 pages.
3. Page layout; Left: 2.5 cm, Right: 2.5 cm, Top: 2.5 cm and Bottom: 2.5 cm.
4. On the first page of the article;
- Turkish Title, 12 pt as TIMES NEW ROMAN, in All Large, Bold and Centered formats; The English title should be written in 12 font size with capital letters and in the center
-The name and surname of the author should be written in capital letters, Times New Roman, 11 font size, centered under the title of the article.
-Author's title, institution information, e-mail address, ORCID number 10 points, Times New Roman should be written under the author's name as shown in the template.
-Turkish and English citation information should be written in Times New Roman, 10 points.
5. On the second page of the article;
-Turkish Title, 12 pt TIMES NEW ROMAN, All in Large, Bold and centered format; The English title should be written in 12 font size with capital letters and in the center. The name of the author should be written under the title of the article in Times New Roman, 11 font size and in all capitals.
- Turkish and English abstracts not exceeding 150 words and Turkish and English keywords, at least 3 - maximum 4, should be included. Turkish abstract "Oz" and English abstract "Abstract" should be written in 10 point Times New Roman, single line spacing.
IMPORTANT NOTICE: Since the blind peer-review system is applied in our article, the text sent to our journal should not contain any statement that would indicate my author's identity in the first version. The personal information of the author will be added to the text after the referee process.

6. Article Text;
- It should be written in 11 font size and "Times New Roman" font, with single line spacing, 6 pt from the top and bottom. When typing, there should be a character break after commas and periods.
-There should not be a starting indent in the paragraphs, 6 pt space should be left before and after the paragraph. In addition, no additional blank lines should be left between paragraphs.
Quotations longer than 40 words should be centered and italicized in 10 points.

7. Titles;
-The main headings of the article are 11 pt and all are capitalized; Sub-headings are 11 point bold (bold) and aligned to the left, as 1., 1.1., 1.1.1., 1.1.2., 1.1.2.1. should be numbered in decimal form. All letters of the main headings should be written in capitals, and only the initials of the subheadings should be written in capital letters. Headings should be divided up to a maximum of 4 levels. One line space should be left before the headings, and no spaces should be left after the headings.
8. All tables, figures and graphics in the article;
-It should be numbered consecutively at appropriate places in the text, centered on the page. Each table, figure or graphic should be given a title. Title; should be placed above the table, figure or graphic, centered on the page, with only the initials of the words in capital letters and in 10 points. The text in tables, figures and graphics should be in 10 points. Tables, figures or graphics should be easily readable and should conform to the page structure (not exceeding the page margins) given above.

9. Extended Summary;
- "Extended Summary in English" will be added to Turkish articles. “Extended Summary” should be written before the Endnotes at the end of the text, in Times New Roman, 11 pt, single-spaced.
10. All sources used in the article should be included in the bibliography section. The sources used should be in alphabetical order according to the surname of the author, without distinction of qualification (thesis, book, article, report, etc.). Works by the same author should be placed in the bibliography, starting with the "most recent" one. The bibliography indent should be set to (Hanging – 1 cm).

CITATION RULES

EÜSBED Citation Rule APA 6 spelling rules are required.
1. APA 6 RULES:
• References should be made in the text in accordance with APA 6. Endnotes should be preferred over footnotes. References in the text should be made as the surname of the author(s), year of the source and page number. If there is no author name, the institution name should be used instead of the author. Sample;
Citation in single-authored publications: (Gulmez, 2017:70), (Gulmez, 2017:71,73), (Gulmez, 2017: 71-79).
Citation in publications with two authors: (Gulmez and Akar, 2016:22).
Citation in publications with three or more authors: (Akar et al., 2014:35).
Citing multiple sources: (Schumpeter, 1934:66; Haldun, 2005:36)
Citation for the full source: (Inal, 1995)
Citation for sources without the author's name: (TÜİK, 2012:45).

• If the citation to be made is taken from a website and the author of the citation is determined, it should be cited similarly to the periodicals. If no date is given for the source downloaded from the internet, the date of access to the relevant file should be used as the year of the source. If the author of the citation is not known, the institution of the website and the year of access should be written in parentheses. Sample;

Citation with unknown author's name and publication year: (Rekabet Kurumu, 2008).

• If more than one work of an author published in the same year is cited, the works should be shown with letters a, b, c, next to the year. Sample:

Publication Ethics

While creating the ethical duties and responsibilities below, it has been prepared by taking into account the guidelines and policies published by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) as open access.


Ethical Responsibilities of Authors
Author (s) who submit a study to the "Erzincan University Journal of Graduate School of Social Sciences" Journal are expected to comply with the following ethical responsibilities:

• The publishing processes applied in the Journal of "Erzincan University Institute of Social Sciences" constitute the basis for the development and distribution of information in an impartial and respectable manner. The processes applied in this direction directly reflect the quality of the work of the authors and the institutions that support the authors. Peer-reviewed studies are studies that embody and support the scientific method. At this point, it is important that all stakeholders of the process (authors, readers and researchers, publishers, referees and editors) comply with the standards of ethical principles. All stakeholders are expected to bear the following ethical responsibilities within the scope of the publication ethics of the Journal of “Erzincan University Institute of Social Sciences”.
• It is expected that the works submitted by the author (s) will be original. If the author (s) benefit from or use other studies, they must cite and / or quote completely and accurately.
• Persons who do not contribute to the content intellectually in the creation of the study should not be specified as authors.
• The situations and relationships of all studies submitted for publication that may constitute a conflict of interest, if any, should be explained.
• The author (s) may request raw data regarding their articles within the framework of evaluation processes, in such a case, the author (s) should be ready to present the expected data and information to the editorial board and scientific board.
• The author (s) must have a document showing that they have the right to use the data used, the necessary permissions for the research / analysis, or that the consent of the experimental subjects has been obtained.
• In the event that the author (s) notices a mistake or error in their published work, early appearance or evaluation stage, the journal editor or publisher has an obligation to cooperate with the editor in informing, correcting or withdrawing.
• Authors cannot have their work in the application process of more than one journal at the same time. Each application can be started following completion of the previous application. A study published in another journal cannot be sent to the "Erzincan University Institute of Social Sciences" Journal.
• Changing the author responsibilities of a study whose evaluation process has started (such as adding authors, changing the order of authors, removing authors) cannot be proposed.

Editors' Ethical Duties and Responsibilities
Editor and field editors of the Journal of Erzincan University Social Sciences Institute, based on the "COPE Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors" and "COPE Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors", which are published by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). should have the following ethical duties and responsibilities:

General duties and responsibilities
Editors are responsible for every publication published in the "Erzincan University Institute of Social Sciences" Journal. In the context of this responsibility, editors have the following roles and responsibilities:
• Making an effort to meet the information needs of readers and writers,
• Continuous improvement of the journal,
• Conducting the processes to improve the quality of the studies published in the journal,
• Supporting freedom of thought,
• Ensuring academic integrity,
• Continuing business processes without compromising intellectual property rights and ethical standards,
• Showing clarity and transparency in terms of publication in matters that require correction and explanation.

Relations with the reader
Editors should make decisions by taking into account the knowledge, skills and experience expectations of all readers, researchers and practitioners. The reader, researcher, practitioner and contributor to the scientific literature should be careful about the published studies. In addition, editors are obliged to take into account the feedback from readers, researchers and practitioners and to provide explanatory and informative feedback.

Relations with authors
Editors' duties and responsibilities towards authors are as follows:
• Editors should make positive or negative decisions based on the importance of the work, its original value, validity, clarity of expression, and the journal's goals and objectives.
• Unless the studies that are suitable for the scope of the publication do not have serious problems, they should be included in the pre-evaluation stage.
• Editors should not ignore positive referee suggestions unless there is a serious problem with the work.
• New editors should not change the decisions made by the previous editor (s) regarding the work, unless there is a serious problem.
• "Blind Refereeing and Evaluation Process" must be published and edited.

Relations with Referees

• The duties and responsibilities of the editors towards the referees are as follows:
• The referees should be determined in accordance with the subject of the study.
• It is responsible for providing the information and guides that the referees will need during the evaluation phase.
• It has to consider whether there is a conflict of interest between the authors and the referees.
• In the context of blind refereeing, the identity of the referees should be kept confidential.
• Encourage reviewers to evaluate the work in an impartial, scientific and objective language.
• It should determine practices and policies that increase the performance of referees.
• Take necessary steps to dynamically update the referee pool.
• It should prevent rude and unscientific evaluations.
• Take steps to ensure that the referee pool is broad. 

Relations with the Editorial Board

Editors should ensure that all editorial board members follow the processes in accordance with editorial policies and guidelines. The editorial board should inform its members about the publication policies and keep them informed of the developments. In addition, editors;

• It should ensure that the members of the editorial board evaluate the work impartially and independently.
• New editorial board members should be determined as contributing and suitable.
• The members of the editorial board should send studies suitable for their field of expertise for evaluation.
• Must interact regularly with the editorial board.
• Regular meetings should be held with the editorial board for the development of publication policies and the journal.

Relations with Journal Owner and Publisher
The relationship between the editors and the publisher is based on the principle of editorial independence. In accordance with the written contract between the editors and the publisher, all decisions taken by the editors are independent of the publisher and the journal owner.

Editorial and Blind Review Processes
Editors; is obliged to implement the "Blind Refereeing and Evaluation Process" policies included in the journal's publication policies. In this context, the editors ensure that the fair, impartial and timely evaluation process of each work is completed.

Quality assurance
Editors; is responsible for publishing every article published in the journal in accordance with journal publication policies and international standards.
Protection of personal data
Editors; is obliged to ensure the protection of personal data regarding the subjects or images included in the evaluated studies. Unless the explicit consent of the individuals used in the studies is documented, they are responsible for refusing the study. In addition, editors; The author is responsible for protecting the individual data of the referees and readers.

Ethics Committee, Human and Animal Rights
Editors; It is responsible for ensuring the protection of human and animal rights in the evaluated studies. Responsible for refusing the study in the absence of ethical committee approval for the subjects used in the studies and permissions for experimental research.

Precaution against Potential Misconduct and Misconduct
Editors; is obliged to take precautions against possible abuse and misconduct. It is among the responsibilities of the editor to share the relevant findings, as well as to conduct a rigorous and objective investigation regarding the identification and evaluation of complaints regarding this situation.

Ensuring Academic Publication Integrity
Editors should ensure that judgments containing errors, inconsistencies or misdirection in studies are promptly corrected.

Protection of Intellectual Property Rights
Editors; is obliged to protect the intellectual property rights of all published articles and to defend the rights of the journal and the author(s) in case of possible violations. In addition, the editors are obliged to take the necessary measures so that the contents of all published articles do not violate the intellectual property rights of other publications.

Constructivism and Openness to Discussion
Editors;
• It should take into account the persuasive criticisms of the works published in the journal and display a constructive attitude towards these criticisms.
• The author(s) of the criticized studies should be given the right to reply.
• Should not ignore or exclude studies with negative results.

 Complaints
Editors; The author is obliged to carefully examine the complaints from the referees or readers and respond in an enlightening and explanatory manner.

Political and Commercial Concerns
The journal owner, publisher and no other political or commercial factors affect the editors' independent decision making.

Conflicts of Interest
Editors; takes into account the conflicts of interest between the author(s), referees and other editors, and ensures that the publication process of the studies is completed in an independent and impartial manner.

Ethical Responsibilities of Referees
Evaluation of all studies with "Blind Refereeing" directly affects the quality of the publication. This process provides confidence through an objective and independent evaluation of the publication. The evaluation process of the Journal of “Erzincan University Institute of Social Sciences” is carried out with the principle of double-blind refereeing. Referees cannot directly communicate with authors, evaluations and comments are submitted through the journal management system. In this process, reviewer comments on evaluation forms and full texts are forwarded to the author(s) through the editor. In this context, it is expected that the referees evaluating the work for the Journal of "Erzincan University Institute of Social Sciences" have the following ethical responsibilities:
• Only work related to the field of expertise should accept evaluation.
• Evaluation should be done with impartiality and confidentiality.
• If he thinks he is facing a conflict of interest during the evaluation process, he should refuse to review the study and inform the journal editor.
• In accordance with the principle of confidentiality, they should destroy the studies they have examined after the evaluation process. They can only use the final versions of the studies they have reviewed after they are published.
• Make the evaluation objectively only in relation to the content of the study. Nationality, gender, religious beliefs, political beliefs and commercial concerns should not be allowed to influence the evaluation.
• Make the assessment in a constructive and courteous language. Do not make derogatory personal comments that include hostility, slander and insults.
• They should perform the work they accept to evaluate in a timely manner and with the above ethical responsibilities.

Publisher's Ethical Responsibilities
The Editors and Editorial Board of the Journal of “Erzincan University Institute of Social Sciences” act with the awareness of the following ethical responsibilities:
• Editors are responsible for all processes of the studies submitted to the Journal of “Erzincan University Institute of Social Sciences”. In this context, the decision makers are the editors, regardless of economic or political gains.
• It undertakes to create an independent editorial decision.
• It protects the property and copyright of every article published in the Journal of “Erzincan University Institute of Social Sciences” and undertakes to keep a record of every published copy.
• It has the responsibility to take precautions against all kinds of scientific abuse, citation fraud and plagiarism regarding the editors.
