KAYSERİ YÖRESİNDE SPERMOPHILUS XANTHOPRYMNUS’LARDA(RODENTIA, MAMMALIA) ECHINOCOCCUS MULTILOCULARIS VE DİĞER BAZI PARAZİTLERİN ARAŞTIRILMASI

Abstract

Kesin konağı köpekgiller olan ve larvası memelilerde alveolar ekinokokkozise (AE) sebep olan Echinococcus multilocularis (E.multilocularis) hemen hemen tüm dünyada görülmekle birlikte ülkemizde de nispeten yaygın olarak bulunmakta ve halk sağlığı sorunu olarak önemini korumaktadır. Çalışmamızda, Kayseri yöresinde yaşayan Spermophilus xanthoprymnus’larda (Anadolu Tarla Sincabı= Anadolu yer sincabı=Anadolu gelengisi) E.multilocularis yanında intestinal sisteme ve ayrıca kan ve dokulara yerleşen diğer bazı parazitlerin (Trypanosoma sp., Leishmania sp., Toxoplasma gondii vb.) yaygınlığının araştırılması amaçlanmıştır. Bu amaçla, yakalanan 100 S.xanthoprymnus kullanılmıştır. Yakalanan hayvanların karaciğer, dalak, bağırsak içeriği ve kan örnekleri alınmıştır. Karaciğer, dalak ve kan örnekleri aranılan parazitler açısından negatif olarak değerlendirilirken, bağırsak içeriklerinin incelenmesinde; 63’ünde coccidial protozoon parazitler, 61’inde Trichomonas sp., 15’inde Schilomastix sp., 24’ünde Giardia sp., 47’sinde farklı amip kistlerine rastlanmıştır. Alveolar ekinokokkozisin önemli bir halk sağlığı problemi olması ve yöremizde de bu hastalığa rastlanması nedeniyle bu çalışmanın daha kapsamlı olarak yapılmasının uygun olacağı sonucuna varılmıştır

Investigation of Echinococcus Multilocularis and Some Other Parasites in Spermophilus Xanthoprymnus (Rodentia, Mammalia) in Kayseri Region

Abstract

(E.multilocularis), whose definitive host is canine and its larvae causes illness in mammalians is seen almost all over the world. Its incidence is relatively high, and known to be an important problem for public health in our country. In our study, we aimed to detect the frequency of E.multilocularis, intestinal parasites and blood and tissue parasites (Trypanosoma sp. Leismania sp. Toxoplasma gondii etc.) in Spermophilus xanthoprymnus living in Kayseri region. For this reason, 100 S.xanthoprymnus (Anatolian ground squirrel) were used. Liver, spleen, intestinal content and blood samples were analysed, and the liver, spleen and blood samples were found to be negative. When the intestinal content of S.xanthoprymnus was investigated; 63 coccidial protozoan parasites, 61 Trichomonas sp., 15 Schilomastix sp., 24 Giardia sp. and 47 different ameba cysts were found. Since alveolar echinococcosis is an important public health problem and encountered in our region, we concluded that a more comprehensive study is needed
