In this study, we discussed the relationship between Sufism and philosophy in the context of Mevlana Celaleddin Rumi. We tried to show that the relationship in question exhibits a unity, not an opposition. Our aim from integrity is not to dissolve Sufism into philosophy or philosophy to Sufism, but to draw attention to the intersections of two disciplines that have different lines in Islamic thought. Sufism is a term belonging to Islamic culture and thought. Philosophy is generalized. Of course, Sufism, which is a special term, has general aspects, and philosophy, which is generalized, has specific aspects. For this reason, while the issue of the relationship between philosophy and mysticism was discussed in the research, the generality of philosophy and the characteristic of Sufism were tried to be analyzed on the basis of Islamic civilization.
Biz bu araştırmamızda Mevlânâ Celâleddin Rumî bağlamında tasavvuf ile felsefe ilişkisini konu edindik. Söz konusu ilişkinin ise karşıtlık değil, bir bütünlük sergilediğini göstermeye çalıştık. Bütünlükten muradımız, tasavvufu felsefenin ya da felsefeyi tasavvufun içinde eritmek değil, İslâm düşüncesinde bazı yönleriyle farklı çizgilere sahip olan iki disiplinin kesiştikleri hususlara dikkat çekmektir. Tasavvuf, İslâm kültür ve düşüncesine ait bir terimdir. Felsefe ise genelleşmiştir. Elbette özel bir terim olan tasavvufun genele uzanan yönleri, genelleşmiş olan felsefenin de özele dönük hâlleri vardır. Bu nedenle araştırmada felsefe-tasavvuf ilişkisi meselesi ele alınırken felsefenin genelliği tasavvufun ise özelliği daha ziyade İslâm medeniyeti zemininde çözümlenmeye çalışıldı.
