Year 2014, Issue: 59, 217 - 225, 15.07.2014

Abstract

PHİLOSOPHİCAL LETTERS: FROM HANNAH ARENDT TO THEODOR W. ADORNO

Year 2014, Issue: 59, 217 - 225, 15.07.2014

Abstract

Correspondences between thinkers take a great amount of space in philosophical
literature especially throughout the 19th and 20th centuries. While conducting
a research about a thinker, it is extremely crucial to consider the correspondences
that are about that thinker or the correspondence of that thinker
herself.
This article, in accordance with the view mentioned above, examines the
correspondence between two essential contemporary thinkers, Hannah Arendt
and Theodor Adorno, about another essential thinker Walter Benjamin in detail.
Also this correspondence gives information about the humanitarian and intellectual
relationship between Hannah Arendt and Theodor Adorno.
