An unusual case of foreign body appendicitis secondary to haricot bean

Abstract

Appendicitis is an endemic disease that may be seen in all age groups. Foreign bodies have occasionally been reported in the etiopathogenesis and this is the first report, to our knowledge, where a haricot bean caused appendicitis. ©2008, Firat University, Medical Faculty.

Abstract

Apandisit ve komplikasyonları, bütün yaş grubu hastalarda görülebilen yaygın bir problemdir. Yabancı cisimler, nadiren apandisite neden olurlar. Bu, ilk kez raporlanan apendiks içindeki kuru fasülye tanesinin neden olduğu apandisit olgusudur. ©2008, Fırat Üniversitesi, Tıp Fakültesi
