Baudrillard has developed a critical analysis on postmodern “Western
World” in which the life experiences had been transforming rapidly. According
to him, capitalism has moved to another stage and the daily lives and human
affairs has shifted by the development of technology and therefore the reality
principle has been lost in Western World. This analysis and criticism of
Baudrillard is embodied in the theory which he called the “theoretical
violence” and mostly known as “simulation theory”. In this paper, with the
purpose of introduction to the simulation theory, it will be tried to discuss the
grounding concepts in relation with each other.
