In this study, new manuscript copies of the little-known Turkish-Albanian versified
dictionary titled Dürre-i Manzûme will be introduced which has one copy so far. New two
copies bear the same title and kept at the National Library of Egypt. Dürre-i Manzûme
is the last one of three known Turkish-Albanian versified dictionaries. It was written in
the 19th century by Mahmud, an Albanian soldier of the Ottoman army. The author gives
the reason of composing such work as to help Turkish soldiers who come to Shkodra and
do not speak Albanian. At the end, the copies of Cairo will be compared with the known
copy of the work and image samples will be given.
