                                                                                                <abstract><p>Çalışma, elit kayak kros sporcularının, yüksek irtifada (Erciyes Dağı2300 m) bir hafta süreli yapmış oldukları dayanıklılık antrenmanlarının, bazıperformans, solunum ve kan parametreleri üzerindeki etkilerini belirlemekamacıyla yapılmıştır. Bu çalışmaya elit düzeyde 16,6 yaş ortalamasında toplam18 (9 kız, 9 erkek) kayak kros sporcusu gönüllü olarak katıldılar. Deneklerinbazı performans, solunum ve kan değerleri toplam 4 kez olmak üzere (irtifaöncesi, irtifada 1. gün, irtifadaki 7. gün ve irtifa sonrası 1. gün) standardize edilmiş alan ve laboratuvar testleri ile belirlendi.İstatistiksel analizler varyans analizi ve Wilcoxon testi ile yapıldı. Yedi gün süreyle irtifada yapılan antrenmanlarsonucunda deneklerin aerobik güçlerinde anlamlı bir gelişme kaydedilmesinerağmen (p&amp;lt;0,01), anaerobik güç değerlerinde önemli bir gelişmegözlenmemiştir. Ayrıca deneklerin vital kapasite (VC), zorlu vitalkapasite (FVC) ve zorlu ekspiratuar volümün birinci saniyesi (FEVJ değerlerindeistatistiki açıdan önemli bir değişim tespit edilmemiştir. İrtifa öncesi vesonrası sporcuların eritrosit (RBC), ve hematokrit (Hct) değerlerinde anlamlıartışlar gözlenmesine rağmen (p&amp;lt;0,05), hemoglobin (Hg) miktarındaki artışanlamlı bulunmamıştır.</p></abstract>

                            <p>Thisstudy was done to find out the effects of one week endurance training in highaltitude (Erciyes mt. 2300 m) on some performance, respiration andblood parameters of cross - country skiers. A total of 18(9 male, 9 fe­male) elite athletes (mean age 16,6 year) voluntarily participated into thisstudy Some performance, respiration and blood parameters of athletes weremeasured four times (before altitude, 1st day in altitude, after seven days trainingin altitude and 1st day after altitude ) by using standardized field and laboratorytests. Statistical analysis were done by using student -1 test and Wilcoxon tests.Asresults of this study; although there were significant improvementsin aerobic power of athletes (pO,01), im­portant improvements were not observedin anaerobic power. In addition there were no significant changes in vitalcapacity (VC), forced vital capacity (FVC) and first second of forcedexpiration volume (FEVJ at the end of one week training in altitude. Althoughsignificant improvements were observedin erythrocyte (RBC) and he-matocrite(Hct) values of athletes before and after training in altitude (p&amp;lt;0,05),improvements in hemoglobin (Hg) were not found significant.</p></trans-abstract>
