                                                                                                <abstract><p>Kişilik özelliklerinin iş yaşamındave çalışanın işe cezbolmasında önemli etkisi olduğu düşünülmektedir. Bukapsamda İstanbul’da mobilya sektöründe faaliyet gösteren bir örgütte 204 kişiüzerinde yapılan bu çalışmada beş faktör kişilik özelliklerinin çalışanlarınişe cezbolma algıları üzerindeki etkisi incelenmiştir. Araştırmada beş faktörkişilik özellikleri (dışadönüklük, duygusal denge, uyumluluk, sorumluluk veaçıklık) bağımsız değişken olarak alınmıştır. İşe cezbolma ise tek boyutlubağımlı değişken olarak alınmıştır. Beş faktör kişilik özelliklerininçalışanların işe cezbolmaları üzerindeki etkisini belirlemek amacıylaoluşturulan modele uygun olarak yol analizi yapılmıştır. Analiz sonucunda beşfaktör kişilik özellikleri boyutlarından dışadönüklük (0,41; p&amp;lt;0,01) veuyumluluğun (0,24; P&amp;lt;0,01) işe cezbolmaya olumlu yönde; öz disiplinin olumsuzyönde etki ettiği (-0,31; p&amp;lt;0,01) ve nevrotiklik ve gelişime açıklığınanlamlı bir etkisinin olmadığı belirlenmiştir.</p></abstract>

                            <p>It is thought that personalitytraits have an important effect on individual’s work life and job engagement.In this respect, a study is conducted on the 204 employees who work in thefield of furniture making in Istanbul. In this study, the effects of five majorpersonality traits on the perception of employees’ job engagement is analyzed.In the study, five major personality traits (opennes to experience,conscientiousness, extraversion, agreeableness, neuroticism) are considered asindependent variables. Whereas, job engagement is considered as a one factordependent variable. A path analysis is done according to the model which wasformed to decide the affects of five major personality traits on the perceptionof employee’s job engagement. As a result of analysis, it is found out thatagreeableness (0,24; p&amp;lt;0,01) and extraversion (0,41; p&amp;lt;0,01) havepositive significant affect, whereas conscientiousness (-0,31; p&amp;lt;0,01) hasnegative significant affect and openness to experience and neuroticism have nosignificant affect on job engagement at all.</p></trans-abstract>
