Accessibility is a concept that should apply to every area where people exist. Each discipline should produce in its field of expertise without ignoring this situation. In this study, it has been argued why accessibility is necessary in the context of architecture and therefore historical buildings. The claim is that architectural designs should be unifying, not divisive, and that every individual has the same rights to participate in social life. The problems we encountered during the implementation of this right and the processes of awareness formation in the world and in our country are discussed. With this study, it is aimed to raise awareness so that cultural assets, which are the most problematic area of accessibility, are accessible to every citizen, without forgetting that each of us is a candidate for disability.
