                            <p>Technology-driven progress and the diversification of virtual world applications have impacted technology-based practices as well as the field of architecture, leading to various transformations. Architecture, being a practice based on imagination, functionality, history, and application, has been one of the areas most affected by virtual technologies. In the context of architecture-technology interaction, this research seeks to answer the following question: &quot;How is the virtual universe transforming architecture, what are the applications and contents that create this change, and how is this transformation evaluated by users within architectural practice? Within this scope, the study examines the role of virtual technologies in architecture, investigates the forms of virtual universe experience among architects, architecture students, and academics within architectural practice, and focuses on transformative possibilities. The study addresses the architectural design methods and tools used in practice through a literature review, and discusses their areas of application and potential based on research data on how they are perceived by users within architectural practice. For this purpose, Virtual Reality and its subcomponents, including computational design, BIM, and parametric design, were examined as current architectural virtual environment applications and interpreted through user experiences. Thus, the concepts of physical and virtual were explored through virtual applications and user experience. The aim of the research is to clarify, through user experiences, whether current digital applications used in architectural design offer an innovative and original field of research for architectural practice. The research findings reveal that the use of virtual environment applications in architecture enhances spatial quality, saves time and money, and facilitates problem solving. Based on user experiences, it was observed that virtual applications blur the boundaries between the virtual and physical in architecture, leave the mind in limbo, and acquire qualities that question reality.</p></trans-abstract>
                                                                                                                                    <abstract><p>Teknoloji esaslı ilerleme ve sanal evren uygulamaların çeşitlenmesi, teknoloji tabanlı pratikleri etkilediği gibi mimarlık alanını da etkilemiş ve çeşitli dönüşümlere neden olmuştur. Mimarlık hayal gücüne, işlevselliğe, tarihe ve uygulamaya dayanan bir pratik olması sebebiyle, sanal teknolojilerden en çok etkilenen alanlardan biri olmuştur. Mimarlık-teknoloji etkileşimi bağlamında araştırma şu soruya cevap aramaktadır: &quot;sanal evren, mimarlığı nasıl dönüştürmekte, bu değişimi oluşturan uygulamalar ve içerikleri nedir ve bu dönüşüm mimarlık pratiği içinden kullanıcılar tarafından nasıl değerlendirilmektedir? Çalışma, bu kapsamda sanal teknolojilerin mimarlıktaki rolünü incelemekte, mimarlık pratiği içinden olan mimarlar, mimarlık öğrencileri ve akademisyenlerinin sanal evren deneyim biçimlerini incelemekte ve dönüştürücü olasılıkları üzerinde durmaktadır. Çalışma pratikte kullanılan mimari tasarım yöntem ve araçlarını literatür araştırması yöntemiyle ele almakla, mimarlık pratiği içinden kullanıcılar tarafından nasıl algılandığına yönelik araştırma verileriyle, kullanım alanlarına ve potansiyellerine değinmektedir. Bu amaçla Sanal Gerçeklik ve alt bileşenleri; hesaplamalı tararım, BİM ve paramedik tasarım gibi güncel mimari sanal evren uygulamaları incelenmiş olup; kullanıcı deneyimleri üzerinden yorumlanmıştır. Böylece fiziksel ve sanal kavramları sanal uygulamalar üzerinden ve kullanıcı deneyimi üzerinden irdelenmiştir. Araştırmanın hedefi, mimari tasarım alanında kullanılan güncel dijital uygulamaların, mimarlık pratiği için yenilikçi ve özgün bir araştırma alanı sunup sunmadığının kullanıcı deneyimleri üzerinden netleştirilmesidir.  Araştırma bulguları, sanal evren uygulamalarının mimarlıkta kullanımının mekânsal niteliği artırdığı, zamandan ve maliyetten tasarruf sağladığı, problem çözmede kolaylık sağladığı tespit edilmiştir. Kullanıcı deneyimleri doğrultusunda sanal uygulamaların, mimarlıkta sanal ve fiziksel olan ile arasındaki sınırları bulanıklaştırdığı, zihinsel olarak arafta bıraktığı ve gerçekliği sorgular nitelik kazandığı görülmüştür.</p></abstract>
