Abstract

Amaç: COVID-19 pandemisinde sağlık çalışanlarının aşılanma ve test sonuçları incelenerek COVID-19 ile enfekte olma durumlarını değerlendirmektir. Yöntem: Retrospektif tanımlayıcı olarak tasarlanan çalışmanın örneklemini bir devlet hastanesinde görev yapan 1301 sağlık çalışanı oluşturdu. Veriler dijital veri tabanlarından toplandı. İstatistiksel analizlerde sayı, yüzde ve ki-kare analizi kullanıldı. Bulgular: Sağlık çalışanlarının %88.0’ı COVID-19’a karşı aşılıydı.

Vaccination Status of Healthcare Workers and COVID-19

Year 2024, Volume: 13 Issue: 2, 686 - 693, 29.06.2024
https://doi.org/10.37989/gumussagbil.1271608

Abstract

Aims: To evaluate the vaccination and test results of health workers in the COVID-19 pandemic and to evaluate their exposure to COVID-19. Methods: The sample of the study, which was designed as a retrospective descriptor, consisted of 1301 health workers working in a state hospital. The data was collected from digital databases. Number, percentage, and chi-square analysis were used in statistical analyses. Results: 88.0% of healthcare workers were vaccinated against COVID-19. 38.4% of participants tested positive for COVID-19. When analyzed according to demographic variables, age and education status were statistically significant, while gender and title were not significant. While statistically significant data were obtained between COVID-19 positivity and demographic variables, no difference was observed between positivity and title and education status. Conclusion: Vaccine diversity increases participation in vaccination. Positive cases continue to be seen in health workers. Sociodemographic variables affect vaccination participation and positivity rates.
