Among cardiovascular diseases, coronary artery diseases are the most important causes of morbidity and mortality. With the technological advances in the surgical treatment of coronary artery disease, coronary artery bypass graft surgery is performed, and myocardial blood supply is provided. For the patients to be operated on to become self-sufficient again after the surgery and to solve the health problems they may encounter; need more support, understanding, information and explanation than other individuals without health problems. It is essential to prepare the surgery well for the patient to have a healthy operation, post-operative, and discharge process. For this, before the surgery, the patient's health history should be evaluated well, possible risks should be determined, and interventions should be planned and implemented. Nurses are the health personnel who closely relate to the hospital's patients and are primarily responsible for the patient. For this reason, the nurses in the preoperative period; have very important duties in the preparation of the patient for surgery physically, psychologically, socially, and legally. The review was prepared by using the literature information aimed to give information about the hospitalization and preparation for the operation of patients with coronary artery bypass graft surgery.
Kalp ve damar hastalıkları içerisinde, koroner arter hastalıkları en önemli morbidite ve mortalite nedenleri arasındadır. Koroner arter hastalığının cerrahi tedavisinde teknolojik ilerlemelerle beraber koroner arter bypass greft cerrahisi yapılmakta ve miyokardın yeniden kanlanması sağlanmaktadır. Ameliyat olacak hastaların ameliyat sonrasında tekrar kendi kendine yetebilecek duruma gelebilmesi ve karşılaşabileceği sağlık sorunlarını çözebilmesi için; sağlık sorunu olmayan diğer bireylerden daha fazla desteğe, anlayışa, bilgi ve açıklamaya ihtiyacı vardır. Hastanın ameliyat süreci, ameliyat sonrası ve taburculuk sürecinin sağlıklı geçebilmesi için ameliyat hazırlığının iyi yapılması çok önemlidir. Bunun için cerrahi öncesinde hastanın sağlık öyküsünün iyi değerlendirilmesi, olası risklerin belirlenmesi, buna yönelik girişimlerin planlanması ve uygulanması gerekir. Hastane içerisinde hastalar ile yakından ilgilenen ve hasta bakımından öncelikli sorumlu olan sağlık personeli hemşirelerdir. Bu sebeple hemşirelere cerrahi öncesi süreçte; hastanın fiziksel, psikolojik, sosyal ve yasal olarak ameliyata hazırlanmasında çok önemli görevler düşmektedir. Literatür bilgilerinden yararlanılarak hazırlanan derlemede koroner arter bypass greft cerrahisi hastalarının hastaneye yatış ve ameliyata hazırlık süreci hakkında bilgi verilmesi amaçlanmıştır.
