HIKEM started publication as an electronic and peer-reviewed journal on the Dergipark system and publishes open-source articles. The journal adheres to the principle of unrestricted and embargo-free access to information. HIKEM has taken some measures to ensure permanent access to its published articles. Thus, even if the journal closes or ceases publication, access to the published articles is guaranteed.

First of all, HIKEM is published in the Dergipark system. Dergipark is an overarching entity that provides a platform for numerous academic journals. In the event a journal is no longer published, the published articles in the journal still remain accessible via Dergipark.
