EKONOMİK ÖZGÜRLÜK VE İNSANİ GELİŞMİŞLİK

Abstract

Bu çalışmanın amacı ekonomik özgürlüğün insani
gelişmişlik üzerindeki etkisini analiz etmektir. Ekonomik özgürlük ve insani
gelişmişlik ilişkisinin Sistem-GMM yöntemiyle analizi için, OECD ülkelerinin
1990-2014 dönemindeki verileri kullanılmıştır. Analiz sonuçlarına göre ekonomik
özgürlük düzeyi insani gelişmişlik düzeyini pozitif yönlü ve istatistiksel
olarak anlamlı bir şekilde etkilemektedir. Çalışmada ayrıca ekonomik özgürlük
değişkenini oluşturan beş alt değişkenin insani gelişmişlik üzerindeki etkisi
de incelenmiştir. Buna göre ekonomik özgürlük değişkeninin alt dallarından olan
hukuksal yapı, güçlü paraya erişim ve serbest ticaret insani gelişmişliği
pozitif yönlü etkilerken, kamunun ekonomideki büyüklüğü ve regülasyonlar insani
gelişmişlik üzerinde anlamlı bir etkiye sahip değildir.
