The purpose of this study it was to determine the high school students’ social appearance anxiety levels. In this research, it was used that descriptive survey model. The study, it was conducted with the participation of 588 high school students in secondary education institution in the central districts of Kocasinan, Melikgazi and Talas in Kayseri city. They were obtained that research data through the “Social Appearance Anxiety Scale”. In the analysis, it was used that arithmetic mean, frequency, standard devation, percentage distribution, one-way analysis of variance (ANOVA) and t-test. According to the findings, it was determined that the students' social appearance anxiety mean levels were at a high level. The female students had higher social appearance anxiety levels than male students. According to the school type, it was found that The Social Sciences high school students had higher social appearance anxiety levels than Vocational high school students’ social appearance anxiety levels. On the other hand, social appearance anxiety mean scores; it wasn’t obtained that there was no significant difference according to the variables of grade level, education level of the mother and father. It can be organized psychosocial studies to reduce students' social appearance anxiety levels and increase self-confidence and self-acceptance levels. In future studies, it can be used larger samples to increase the generalizability of the results. It can be carried out group and peer guidance studies in order to reduce the social appearance anxiety levels of students in Social Sciences High School. Despite their limitations, this work is thought to contribute to further work in the future.
