                                                                                                <abstract><p>18. y. y. da başlayan sanayi devrimi siyasal, ekonomik, psikolojik ve sosyal boyutları beraber; birey, aile ve toplumsal yaşamı derinden etkilemiş ve tek boyutlu birey tipolojisini ve kapitalist yaşam biçimini ortaya çıkarmıştır. 21. Yüz yıla gelindiğinde ise kültürel kapitalizmin küreselleşmesiyle birlikte tüketim toplumuyla birlikte anılan yeni yaşam kültürü, modern zamanların bir fenomeni olarak karşımıza çıkmıştır. Sanayileşme ile birlikte kırsal alanlardan kentlere yoğun göçler yaşanmış olup, kentlerde gecekondu tipi yapılaşmalar ve alt sosyo-ekonomik sınıf olarak nitelenebilecek yeni sosyal yapılar ortaya çıkmıştır. Yaşanan yoğun göç ve nüfus dinamikleri ile birlikte kentleşme hız kazanmış ve kadın da toplum ve çalışma hayatında aktif olarak yerini almıştır.  Bu süreçte geniş aile yapısı değişime uğrayarak, çekirdek aileye dönüşmüştür. Anne-baba ve çocuk üçgeninde oluşan bu yeni küçük ayrışmış aile modelinde babanın yanı sıra anne de aktif olarak çalışma yaşamında yerini alınca; çocuk bakım ve gözetiminin yanı sıra çocuğun okul ve eğitim hayatı toplumsal bir olgu ve yeni bir sorun alanı olarak modern yaşamda yerini almıştır.Öte yandan dünyadaki sınırlı ekonomik kaynaklar karşısında aşırı nüfus artışı, kent yaşamının bir parçası olan modern bireyin ihtiyaçlarındaki artış ile birlikte yenilerinin de eklenmesi, tüketim toplumu kültürüne bağlı yeni alışkanlıkların ve yaşam tarzlarının ortaya çıkışı, teknolojik gelişmelerin birey ve toplum üzerindeki etkileri, gelir adaletsizliği, toplumu derinden etkileyen toplumsal olaylar ve doğal afetler gibi pek çok faktör kent yaşamındaki gelir adaletsizliğini ve ekonomik yetersizliği derinleştirmiş ve birey ve aile üzerindeki negatif etkisini artırmıştır. Bu yaşam dinamikleri karşısında gerek kök ailenin yetişkin üyeleri ve gerek çekirdek ailenin ebeveynleri yaşamı idame ettirmek ve ailenin ekonomik ihtiyaçlarını karşılamak için psiko-sosyal ve duygusal gereksinimlerini önemli ölçüde ötelemek ya da ihmal etmek durumunda kalmışlardır. Bu da iş ve aile yaşam uyumunda kronikleşen yeni ve modern bir sosyal olguyu gündeme getirmiştir.            1.GİRİŞ:</p></abstract>
