Peer Review Process
The purpose of the peer review process is to ensure the publication of qualified and original scientific studies. The peer review process for all articles published in the Journal of Harran University Medical Faculty is as follows.

Preliminary Control
All articles sent to the journal are first subjected to a preliminary evaluation by the Editor and Secretary. Articles that do not fall within the scope of our journal's publication or do not comply with the format we have specified in terms of content and form, and have a similarity rate of more than 25% are rejected and rejected without initiating the peer review process or revisions may be requested. At this stage, no article can be accepted for publication by the editor without a positive referee report.

Peer Review
This journal uses a double-blind peer review system in which the names of the referees and authors are kept confidential at every stage of the process.
Articles that pass the preliminary control stage are sent to the relevant field editor by the secretary together with a similarity report. They are sent to three referees determined by the editor. Referees are selected from the referee pool considering their areas of expertise.
Referees evaluate the articles sent to them as follows; They evaluate the article in terms of originality, methodology, contribution to the literature, presentation of findings and support of results, and utilization of previous studies. Referees may accept, reject, or request authors to make corrections to the format and/or abstract. In order for an article to be accepted for publication, at least two referees must give a positive opinion.
If the referees or referees request corrections, the author(s) shall complete the requested corrections within 30 days at the latest, considering the criticisms and suggestions made by the referees, and resubmit them to the Publication Committee. Articles that are not accepted for publication are not returned to their authors.

Final Evaluation
The final evaluation of all articles that reach the publication stage after receiving a positive opinion from the referees is made by the Editorial Board. Articles that are deemed “suitable for publication” are placed in the publication queue.

Referee Evaluation Period
Journal of Harran University Medical Faculty aims to complete the total referee process of an article within 10 weeks (70 days), including a preliminary evaluation phase of 1 week, a referee evaluation phase of 8 weeks, and a final evaluation phase of 1 week. Authors who submit articles to the Harran University Medical Faculty Journal are deemed to have accepted the Journal's peer review conditions and process.
