Abstract

Kültür aktarımı, yabancı dil öğretiminin vazgeçilmez unsurlarından biridir. Bununla beraber dilin farklı bağlamlarda kullanımından dinî ritüellere, ulaşımdan yeme-içmeye, giyim tarzından eğlenceye, alışverişten çalışma sistemine, doğal güzelliklerden sanat eserlerine kadar yaşamın her alanına yayılan kültürün, ders kitaplarında hangi yönlerden ve nasıl ele alınması gerektiği konusunda belli bir ölçütün olmadığı görülmektedir. Bu sorundan hareket edilen bu çalışmada artık herkesçe cevabı bilinen “Neden?” sorusu dışında “Nasıl?” ve “Ne kadar?” sorularına da cevap aranmaya çalışılmıştır. Bu çerçevede kültür kavramı, yaşam kültürü içinde “evrensel” ve “millî” olmak üzere iki boyutta ele alınmış, temel seviye Yeni Hitit 1 Yabancılar İçin Türkçe Ders Kitabı’nda bu kültür unsurlarından hangilerine, ne oranda yer verildiği incelenerek değerlendirilmiştir

The Investigation of Cultural Transmission in Yeni Hitit 1 Turkish Course Book for Foreigners

Abstract

Cultural transmission is one of the indispensable elements of foreign language teaching. Nevertheless, it is seen that there is no definite criterion, sprawling in every aspect of life from the use of language in different contexts to religious rituals to transportation, to eating and drinking, to clothing style, to entertainment, to shopping, to working system, to natural beauty, and to works of art, how and in which way a course book should be addressed. In this study, from this point of view, it is aimed to answer the questions of How? How much?, How many? except for the question of Why?, the answer of which is already known by everyone. Within this scope, the concept of culture is examined in terms of being “universal” and “national” in culture in daily life, and it is evaluated by analyzing to what extent and which of these cultural elements are given in Yeni Hitit 1 Turkish Course Book for Foreigners
