                                                                                                <trans-abstract xml:lang="en">
                            <p>Mass communication technologies are developing rapidly and this is changing communication networks. Especially the developments in digital technologies have changed journalism practices considerably. The wide possibilities created by the Internet technology have transformed the readers from the people who receive the news to the people who experience the news. With the emergence of virtual reality technology, news or a documentary event can be experienced by users. A virtual world created here is used and users experience the feeling of being there through special headgear or glasses. On the other hand, with Augmented Reality, the subjects of the news event are produced virtually and shown to the audience and their perception of reality is increased. The world&#039;s leading media organizations produce content using both virtual reality and augmented reality technologies. Thus, it is possible for users to experience the news event and it is ensured that readers or viewers spend more time in media tools. However, while there is no content produced using virtual reality in the Turkish media, content was produced with augmented reality. In this sense, it can be said that media organizations in Turkey are a bit slow to follow new technologies.</p></trans-abstract>
                                                                                                                                    <abstract><p>Kitle iletişim teknolojileri hızla gelişmekte ve bu da iletişim ağlarını değiştirmektedir. Özellikle dijital teknolojilerde yaşanan gelişmeler gazetecilik pratiklerini oldukça değiştirmiştir. İnternet teknolojisinin ortaya çıkardığı geniş olanaklar günümüzde okuyucuları haberi alan kişiler olmaktan haberi deneyimleyen kişiler haline getirmiştir. Sanal gerçeklik teknolojisinin ortaya çıkmasıyla birlikte haber ya da bir belgesel olayı kullanıcılar tarafından deneyimlenebilmektedir. Burada yaratılan sanal bir dünya kullanılmakta ve özel başlık ya da gözlükler aracılığıyla kullanıcılar orada olma hissini yaşamaktadır. Öte yandan Artırılmış Gerçeklik ile de haber olayının özneleri sanal olarak üretilerek izleyicilere gösterilmekte ve gerçeklik algıları artırılmaktadır. Dünyanın önde gelen medya kuruluşları hem sanal gerçeklik hem de artırılmış gerçeklik teknolojilerini kullanarak içerikler üretmektedir. Böylece kullanıcıların haber olayını deneyimlemesi mümkün olmakta ve okuyucu ya da izleyicilerin daha fazla medya araçlarında zaman geçirmesi sağlanmaktadır. Ancak Türk medyasında sanal gerçeklik kullanılarak üretilen bir içerik görülmezken artırılmış gerçeklik ile içerikler üretilmiştir. Bu anlamda Türkiye’de medya kuruluşlarının yeni teknolojileri takip etmede biraz yavaş olduğu söylenebilir.</p></abstract>
