Bir Şehir Filozofu Olarak Henri Lefebvre ve Gündelik Yaşam Sanatı

Abstract

Şehir, somut ve sınırlı bir üretim
alanı değil; yaşayan, canlı, değişken, karmaşık olanaklardan oluşan bir ouevre
gibidir. Onu, tüm bu oluşumsallığı içerisinde görebilmek için bakışlarımızı
içerisinde var olduğumuz yere yani gündelik yaşama çevirmemiz gerekir. Şehrin
kalbi gündelik yaşamda atar. Bu nedenle, çağımız modern kent insanı için, tek
bir ülküden söz edilebilir: Gündelik yaşam sanatı. Çünkü modern kent insanı,
artık ne alet yapmasıyla, ne iş gücü ya da emeğiyle ne de ussallığıyla
tanımlanamaz. Tüm bunlardan geriye tek bir şey kalmıştır: Şehrin devasa
akışında tutunan gündelik insan varoluşu. O, tarihteki tüm anlamlarını
kapitalizmin hızlı gelişimiyle birlikte yitirmiştir.  Bu yitim, beraberinde, gündelik yaşamın
anlamını sorgulama çabasını getirmiştir. Gündelik yaşamı düşünsel izleğinin
temel sorunu ve hatta kaynağı olarak konumlandıran ve bu yolla, şehrin ve
kentliliğin anlamını sorgulayan gerçek bir şehir filozofu olarak Henri
Lefebvre, bu konudaki en köktenci çaba olarak karşımıza çıkmakta ve bize
çarpıcı bir çözümleme yapmaktadır. Onun gündelik yaşam çözümlemesi, bir
eleştiridir ve modern gündelik yaşama eleştirel yaklaşmanın devrimsel
niteliğine yoğunlaşmıştır. Çünkü ona göre, insan varoluşu, yaşam ve kentlilik
olgusunu birbirine zincirleyen kapitalizm, artık ekonomiye değil; tümüyle
gündelik yaşama dinamiklerine özgü bir şeye dönüşmüştür. Lefebvre'ın bir
gündelik yaşam manifestosu sunan bu düşünceleri bütünüyle tek bir şeye işaret
eder: Bugün, kapitalizmin yıkıcı etkilerini ortadan tamamen kaldırmaksa
arzulanan, başka bir deyişle, bir devrim söylemi ise tüm ülküleri, düşleri ya
da kent ütopyalarını süsleyen, o halde, en köktenci dönüşüm için, ne ekonomi ne
de politikaya bakılmalıdır. Bakışların kilitlenmesi gereken tek bir yer vardır:
Gündelik yaşam ve modern kent insanı. Bu bağlamda, Lefebvre’ın eleştirel
köktenciliği, gündelik yaşamı, kapitalizmin ürettiği mekân ve zaman algısında
çözümlemesindedir. Çünkü ona göre, insan varoluşu, şehir ve yaşamın akışının
bir arada oluşması, zaman ve mekân duygusuyla ilintilidir. Bu çalışma,
Lefebvre’ın dondurulmuş zaman ve onun en belirgin açılımı olan kapitalist mekân
arasına sıkışmış şehrin eleştirel felsefesini yapma ülküsünü, gündelik yaşama
sanatı ışığında tartışmayı hedeflemektedir.

As a City Philosopher Henri Lefebvre and The Art of Everyday Life

Abstract

City is not a concrete and limited production
area but a living, variable, complex, consisting of facilities like an ouevre.
For to see it in this formation, we need to convert our outlook on everyday
life in that place we’d have. City’s heart assigns in everyday life. For this
reason, in modern times for modern urban there can be only one ideal mentioned:
The art of everyday life.  The reason is
that the modern urban is no longer identify with neither his/her work force,
labor or toolmaking nor rational animal. After all of them there is one thing
left: the city, clinging to the huge flow of everyday human existence. With the
rapid development of capitalism human existence have lost his/her historical
meanings. This loss is accompanied that the effort of inquirey about meaning of
the everyday life. Literally as a city philosopher Henri Lefebvre situates
everyday life as a basic problem and even an origin for his intellectual
trajectory. In this way he proposes the meaning of the city and urban life. So
that his thinking is the most radical effort we faced in this matter, and an
analysis is striking to us. His analysis of daily life, approaching a
revolutionary criticism and it is concentrated that the critical nature of
modern everyday life. Because according to him, capitalism that chained
together human existence, life, and the phenomenon of urban is no longer
special to the economy now. But it is turned into something completely unique
to the dynamics of everyday life. Lefebvre offers a manifesto for everyday life
and refers to the one thing all these thoughts: Today, If most desirable is
completely eliminate the destructive effects of capitalism, in other words, if
a revolution in the discourse of all the ideals, dreams, utopias that adorning
the city, then, for the most radical transformation, neither the politics nor
the economy should be consulted. There is only one place to lock glances:
Everyday life and modern urban. In this context, the critical radicalism of
Lefebvre is analysing everyday life in the perception of space and time that
produced by capitalism. Because for him, concurrence of the human existence,
the city and the flow of life is related to a sense of time and space. This
paper aims to discuss Lefebvre’s ideal that making the  critical philosophy of the city that pinched
between frozen time and its most obvious expension of capitalist space in light
of the art of everyday living.
