Abstract

Bu makale kapsamında kentsel tasarım süreçlerinde
“kentli”, özellikle de “çocuk katılımı” olgusu ele alınmaktadır. Kentsel
mekânın oluşumunda vatandaş katılımı, yalnızca kullanıcının kendi yaşam
çevresinin şekillenmesinde pay sahibi olması değil aynı zamanda yerel yönetimde
söz sahibi olmasını da beraberinde getirmektedir. Toplumsal hayatı bu derece
etkileyen kararların alınmasında yapılı çevre eğitiminin önemi yadsınamaz. Bu
bağlamda gerek “katılım” gerekse “yapılı çevre eğitimi” konularını bir araya
getiren bir model olarak Oyun Engel Tanımaz Projesi incelenmektedir. Bursa’nın
Nilüfer ilçesinde 2013 yılından beri farklı alanlardan paydaşların ortak
çabasıyla sürdürülmekte bu proje, çocuğun kentsel mekânın oluşumunda ne ölçüde
etkili olabileceğini ortaya koymaktadır.

Children Participation in Urban Space Design

Abstract

In the context of this article the concept of
“citizen”, especially “children participation in urban design process is
discussed. The citizen participation in construction of urban space leads to
not only the user’s involvement in shaping his/her living environment but also
having a worg in local government. The importance of built environment
education can not be underestimated in the process of taking desicions which
are effecting the social life. In this context “Oyun Engel Tanımaz” (Game
Without Handicaps) Project is examined as a model gathering both
“participation” and “built environment education” issues / processes together.
This project, which is being realised in Bursa, Nilüfer until 2013 with the
collective effort of many shareholders from different areas, is revealing to
what extent children might influence the foundation of urban space.
