BİYOMİMETİK TASARIM VE GİYSİ KONFORU UYGULAMALARI

Year 2023, Volume: 1 Issue: 1, 24 - 35, 05.06.2023

Abstract

BIOMIMETIC DESIGN AND CLOTHING COMFORT APPLICATIONS

Year 2023, Volume: 1 Issue: 1, 24 - 35, 05.06.2023

Abstract

Nature is an important consultant for creativity and technology development with its impressive designs. Biomimetics is a new field of research that deals with the extraction, mimicry and application of the functional principles of nature. It is applied in a wide variety of disciplines such as design, art, architecture, engineering and sciences. In recent years, textile and fashion designers have introduced biomimetic approaches and original designs. There are various studies with the artistic and aesthetic features of biomimetic textile designs. Biomimetics can be an inspiration to develop both aesthetic and innovative textile products. In this study, the concept of biomimetics is explained and the processes of biomimetic design are mentioned. In the study, biomimetic design examples used to improve comfort features, which is one of the basic consumer expectations, were examined together with the natural structure that inspired the design..
