Gaziantep University Faculty of Fine Arts IDEART International Journal of Design and Art aims to create a platform for artists, academicians and other researchers who produce in different fields of Art and Design to publish their works. The works of the aforementioned researchers, both in their own disciplines and in the multidisciplinary field, will form the journal's content.

Gaziantep University International Journal of Design and Art (IDEART) is open to art and design studies in different disciplines from traditional to modern, and aims to make the works prepared within this scope reach wider audiences, starting from the universality of art. In this context, our journal aims to support artists, designers and academics working in these fields by welcoming works prepared in the fields of plastic arts, digital arts, design, music and performing arts and art education.

  • Articles sent to the International Journal of Design and Art should not exceed 20 pages in total. It should be written with a margin of 2.5 cm from the top, bottom, right and left edges. The file that is intended to be uploaded should be in “.docx” format.
  • The Turkish and English titles of the article should be written in bold, “14” font size, they should be centered and written in capital letters. The title in both languages must be written. The names of the author(s) should be written under the title of the article, centered, in “12” font size and bold. Under the author names section, the author information (address and ORCID number) should be written in 10 font size and aligned left. If there is more than one author, a 6 nk space should be left between the lines of the author information. When writing the names of the authors, the corresponding author should be indicated with a “*” and the e-mail address should be given as “Correspondent Author: …….@........”, aligned to the left under the author information.
  • If the title does not fit on a single line, 6nk space should be left between the lines. A “12 nk” space should be left between the names of the authors and the title and author information section. The same amount of space should be left after the author's information, while proceeding to the abstract.
  • The font should be “Times New Roman” and the font size should be “12”. The line spacing of the text should be "multiple", with a value of "1.15", the spacing after each paragraph should be "6 nk" and the paragraph spacing after each section should be "6 nk". There should be 0.5 cm space at the beginning of the paragraphs (except for the Abstract and Abstract Sections). All paragraphs and headings should start from the left margin. The text must completely be aligned two sides. Highlighting text with the use of bold or underlining the text should be avoided if possible.
  • Main headings should be written in bold, (Introduction, Abstract, Material, etc.), aligned left, in “12” font size and capital letters. Subheadings should be aligned left; the first letter of the words should be capitalized and the font size should be “12 point”. Third-level subheadings should be aligned left, the first letter of the first word should be capitalized and the headings should be written in “12” font size and bold. It should be noted that there should be no titles below the third level.
  • After the author's information, a Turkish "Abstract" and an English "Abstract" section should be included. In these sections, the aim of the study, the research findings and a section of the results, if any, should be included. Abstracts in both languages should consist of a maximum of “250” words and should be written with a single line spacing and 10 points font size. The abstract should not include appendices such as references, abbreviations, tables and pictures.
  • Tables in the text should be centered on the page and a value between 10 and 12 points should be chosen as the font size. The table must be in the relevant part of the text and the table must be referenced in the text. Tables should be named “Tables”, numbered according to their order, and the title giving information about the table should be centered at the top of the table.
  • Pictures, figures, drawings and the like in the article should be named “Figure” and placed in the middle of the page. The title should be placed under the figure and in the middle, in 10 points. The figure should be used in the relevant area in the text and the reference should be made in the text.
  • Each page in the article should be given a page number, these numbers should be at the bottom of the page in the middle. The page number should be Times New Roman and the font size should be “11”.
  • Citations should be made according to the 7th edition of the American Psychological Association, shown in the text, and given in the "Bibliography" section at the end of the article.

- Gaziantep University Faculty of Fine Arts' IDEART International Journal of Design and Artis published twice a year in June and February.
- IDEART is a refereed journal. The preliminary evaluation of the articles sent to the journal will be made by the field editors who received this evaluation, and the studies that pass this evaluation will be examined with a double-blind peer-review system. Studies that are approved by at least two referees will be published.
- Studies in the field of plastic arts, digital arts, design, music and performing arts, and art education are accepted to the magazine.
- Studies that have been previously published and studies that are in pending or evaluation process are not accepted. The journal is published in Turkish and English languages.
- All responsibility for the published works belongs to the author(s).
- More than one work of an author cannot be published in the same publication period of the journal.
- Studies requested to be published should be written according to the template determined and presented by the journal and using the APA 7 (American Psychological Association 7th edition) citation system.
